Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs someone who is 6’ 2”, I found the single bed slightly on the short side. Perhaps some instructions on how to turn down the towel rail as the room felt quite warm… google assured me I was on the right track. Perhaps a slightly larger array of continental breakfast options could be offered although the cooked breakfast was wonderful. But the positives far out-weighed the negatives and I hope to return soon - thank you.
Very tastefully decorated - both the room and the pub dining area. Great care had been taken to ensure the the room was spotlessly clean, heating turned up and gentle radio music playing on arrival. A great rural location with very easy access. Check-in was very easy and had all the appliances one needed. Very tasty breakfast and the staff were friendly and welcoming - thank you.

United KingdomNot one thing.
After watching a C4 program on The Three Hills i decided to book a naughty night away with my wife.on entering the Hotel/Restaurant we where greeted with open arms as if we where regulars. The bar is well shocked and a tab was open within minutes, after a few we decided to go to our room before dinner, the room was bright and had everything needed,a lovely touch the radio was on. After freshen up we went for dinner table booked for 7. We were greeted and taken to our table by the lovely Ellie, menu amazing i did think anout trying pigeon but wasn't brave enough lol. I had the Sausages and my wife the Burger all food is locally sourced with is a great touch. Food was quick and tasty and the service out of the world.Ellie we wish you all the luck on your travels, or i hope Emma has locked you in the cellar like i suggested 😀. Bed time..The bed very comfortable and a great night sleep was enjoyed..Breakfast was again amazing with the wife having the full English and me Eggs and Bacon..All in all it was a perfect night away..Thank you all at The Three Hills.

United KingdomThat we couldn’t stay longer!
Very welcoming and friendly staff and locals (in particular Alex and also the chef who gave our dog extra treats!) Beautiful cosy little pub with amazing food, rooms were lovely too, and even included a dog bed, bowls and treats. Us and our dog felt extremely well looked after, would 100% recommend and are looking to come back!

United KingdomA few more mugs in the kitchen please :) and a bigger kettle. The bath plug leaked so couldn’t bath, but told staff when we left.
Loved the apartment, loved the cleanliness. The staff were absolutely wonderful. We have a young son with coeliac and the chef was so accommodating and kind.

United KingdomThe only 1 minor , and very minor issue at that, was the room was a bit small. That is not the fault of anyone in particular, it is an old building as many pubs are.
Very nicely decorated, and very clean throughout, he food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast, and the staff were superb. It is no surprise this is an award winning place.

United KingdomSurprised by the amount of traffic going passed although it didn't keep us awake .
Lovely room which was nice and warm considering the outside temp. Dinner was very good although the sirloin didn't justify the price.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like. It’s worth noting that the pub isn’t open on Mondays and Tuesdays so plan to eat elsewhere if you book on those days.
The location is great and the room was really cosy and comfortable. The property is dog-friendly which is essential for us and the dog towel, bed, bowls and treats are a really nice touch.

United KingdomCouple of minor points - TV controls very confusing and although bedroom windows were double glazed they did not seal properly so there was some noise from the car park.
Room was very nicely decorated and good facilities including great toiletries. The bar and restaurant were very good and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Delicious seafood for dinner. Rural and quiet location but great for a stopover.

United KingdomI liked absolutely everything at this wonderful stay. I generally use the reviews of others for booking safe, secure and luxurious places to stay and based on this, I booked The Three Hills. The buildings were immaculate and tailored to the highest standards. The staff I met were wonderful, friendly people and I absolutely loved the small bar and snug, enjoying a cosy, relaxed stay. I thought the way the room was presented on arrival was so wonderfully pleasant. A low volume classical radio playing, with dimly lit lights and a great warmth, as the temperature was preset to a perfect setting. Absolutely outstanding room, with so many clean and useful facilities. Due to the time of arrival, I never got to see the local countryside, but know the dwelling was located in a quiet setting. I recommend booking this place, if you can!

United KingdomI was disappointed that other plans for the day meant I missed Sunday lunch in the restaurant!
Staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was immaculate. We were in a guest house which was separate from the main building which made the logistics of moving luggage really easy. Food was divine! Breakfast cooked to order so fresh and no waste. We ate in the restaurant twice, the menu is carefully crafted and excellent quality. The decor is all calm , comfortable and completely co-ordinated, even down to the tableware. Very good details provided on how to self check in / out if the main building is not open. Location in a quiet village, but this is clearly a destination restaurant venue for locals. Easy access to park and ride for Cambridge and other tourist attractions.
