Sadly, didn’t hear back about charges for a week rather than the initial few days we booked first off. Otherwise lived up to last years excellent standard.

This was our second time at the Two Lifeboats. On both occasions the staff have been brilliant - personable, accommodating and very helpful. Food, both breakfasts and the mains that we ate there were very good

The Two Lifeboats has nothing to improve on, it is exceptional.

The place is clean and very well set out. The staff are brilliant, very friendly especially Claire, the breakfast manager who just goes above and beyond for the guests, an example is when my Wife and I went to check out, we were leaving before breakfast, Claire asked the chef to make us sausage and bacon sandwiches to take on our trip home which we thought was great.

In restaurant, a bit more choice for Starters would be recommended. Low doors (which still caught me out despite plenty of warnings from signs and staff!) and very narrow stairs which would not suit the less mobile - although it is apparently a Listed building, so with character.

Very nice room with sea view. Full tea and coffee making facilities and options. Very friendly and efficient staff on arrival and in restaurant where we ate both nights, and good food. Private, separate entry to accommodation as an option. Although no car parking - that's the compromise for being directly on the sea front and in the centre of town - Morris St Car park is just around the corner £8.50/24hrs and had no problems whilst parking there for two nights.

Ensuite showers were a bit temperamental and took a while to get the right temperature,you just need to be patient. A small car park 70yds away,in £8.50 for 24 hours .You can unload your car outside the pub, which was very helpful.

Our rooms had wonderful seaviews. The beds were very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We all loved our stay, and we can't wait to return. Well done to all the staff, you made our stay feel extra special. A big thank you to all.

The steep stairs inside but there are alternative stairs outside for residents.

Whilst we found it easy to park it might be difficult in the summer.The staircase in the pub to the room is very narrow and the outer fire exit staircase might be difficult for people who are not very mobile.The bathroom didn’t match the cleanliness of the room the toilet wasn’t clean bought bleach and left it in whilst we were out and there was a hair on the seat.If we had been staying more than one night we would of mentioned it.Didn’t spoil our stay and would return.

The location is excellent ,the young lady that showed us to our room was very polite and efficient.The room was very spacious and the bed linen was exceptionally clean.The cooked breakfast was delicious.

As it is a very old building the access was a little restricted. An outside staircase led up to a safety door with keypad and then through to the bedroom corridor. It was well lit and acceptable due to the age of the building.

I had an evening meal which was very good. Breakfast was very wide choice from continental to full English. Good attention from staff and plenty of good quality food to choose from. The dining room was warm and comfortable. I loved the sea view from my room. The drinks sachets were replenished. There was a choice of different size pillows which I found helpful.

It would have been nice to have been offered a relaxed space to spend the evening with my husband after our meal. We were left at our dining table which was a little formal and uncomfortable. it would have been nice to snuggle up on a sofa together.

Breakfast was out of this world - absolutely delicious! Room had a view of the sea and the high street which was nice for people watching!
