How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The property itself was great. It was just a little difficult trying to book a taxi.
The property was very conveniently located. The rooms were a good size and were very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were really good and the complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits were great. It was very easy to get into the property too.

Exceptional, disappointing that we have to leave today after having such a good time with our friends in a spotlessly clean spacious apartment. Is fully booked Saturdays unless you book in advance. Looking forward to return next week to due ongoing building work to our house.

Exceptional. We had a discount on being regular costumers. Absolutely stunning place so clean. We stayed in all of the apartments by now and just can't fault it. Can't wait to return at the weekend if spaces available.

We had such a wonderful stay. Shame that is fully booked tomorrow we hopping to return over the weekend if any spaces. 10 out of 10 throughout you just can't fault it.

Exceptional we had the staff setting up an extra bed for our grandson. Due to being regulars it was free of charge. Also our dog stayed for free for staying so often. We are chuffed so happy with this place feels like home.

Exceptional. Our grandson is staying with us this week. Plenty of space to run around in a beautiful and amazingly cleaned apartment. Outstanding costumer service. We absolutely love it.

Outstanding, stayed over for 3 days for my daughters birthday. Our Toddler grandson, could run around in the most spacious and spotless apartments you ever seen. So beautiful. Well done team.

Outstanding, we had a couple of days in the garden doing BBQ , beautiful sunshine. Amazing apartment can't fault it. We absolutely love it, and we return every week for a treat.

Weve stayed in the apartment twice now. It could do with the bathroom painting and a freshen up. Also the kitchen could do with new cutlery/cups and pans etc. Also winter duvet was abit warm in March/April.
Lovely apartment in a great central location for visiting the Cotswolds. Very quiet room, super comfy bed, well furnished.

Outstanding stay, very tranquil, we love the clock of the famous church bell is so nice and therapeutic. Exceptionally clean as usual we had our daughter for dinner in the Apartment which the host was very happy for hr to visit at no extra charge.

As usual no word to describe this place but Exceptional. We still doing work on our house we consider the Apartments our second home. Spotlessly clean, we stayed in every single apartment and they all outstanding. Outstanding host , brilliant staff

Not the fault of the property owner but it was pretty noisy at night with heavy lorries thundering outside all night. The underfloor heating was either too hot or too cold and little natural ventilation.
Good location for the visit. Spacious for short stay. Clean and good supplies of bathroom accessories. Dog friendly.

Some of the residences were on 1 higher level, that meant climbing the stairs, I dont know how they would get around that, it became a hassle especially hauling the suitcases.
The entire booking was seamless, mind you booking.com doesnt process the fee, you would better contact the manager/ main site to finish the formalities, once that is done, seamless check in and check out. mainly door codes and one key to the apt. All the information required to operate the goods/ places nearby are neatly printed in a folder in the place. walking distance from town centre, parking available, but need to cross a busy junction. it is recommended for families, will stay here again for sure.

Marked down very slightly on comfort, only because the lighting in the (very large!) bathroom could have been better.
The Unicorn apartments are in a great location for Stow on the Wold's shops, pubs and restaurants, and the surrounding countryside for walking. The "Campden" is a spacious, modern, one bedroomed apartment, perfect for a three night stay for two. Our host, Ela, was very quick to respond to any questions we had relating to the property!

Exceptional as usual. Host Ella is very professional, excellent management skills. We are always feel like home, Ella upgrades us at no extra cost if she can as we are regulars. We absolutely love it is stunning. We had a cooked meal this time and Ella had arranged for our shopping to be in the fridge on our arrival. It feels so special to be treated this way and highly respected. We highly recommend it. The best.
