How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Outstanding place. We accidently pulled the blind and it got fixed in seconds. Spotlessly clean, great garden to chill in the sun. Very receptive staff We stayed in all of the apartments and can't fault any of them. You get sparkling water, still water, Ferrero Rocher, biscuits, hot chocolate, selection of tea, Nespresso coffee pods, sugar, milk, salt pepper. Nice Nespresso machine, ice in the fridge, electric fan, Netflix, comfortable beds, Perfect.

We stayed over the weekend for my daughters wedding only to find that one naughty guest has used our apartment. The host had to come out at 11pm to solve the problem. Ela had to tell them of refund us and clean our apartment which was left in a state by not very nice people. Such an unbelievable host remarkable at her job and standards. Hence we won't stop returning.

Only thing I could fault is there are alot of stairs if you are placed in the Cirencester apartment, which was difficult with a pram. But I wouldn't let this put you off as the place was exceptional. We had amazing weather and the apartment did get a little hot, and you cannot open the windows.
The apartment was so welcoming and felt like a home away from home. It was clean, clutter free (handy as we had a little one) and the beds were so comfortable! The size of the bedrooms were really great too! There was a large fan in the apartment which was good as it did get quite warm in there. There were plenty of towels, tea and coffee (with a coffee machine). Even ice cubes ready in the freezer

Kitchen could've have been better stocked e.g utensils, also could've left more teas. Some of the places I've stayed at the owners have left guest a bottle wine, it's a nice touch!! Need to get the window in the lounge fixed rope broken had to host it open with a towel to get fresh air. But all is good!
Breakfast wasn't provided. I liked the cleanliness. I liked the location central and the fact the car park is free. I liked that the instruction to access Property were clear & concise, like there were plenty of towels. I really liked the apartments quirky, it's walking distance to town. I would definitely recommend a good place to stay really enjoyed it. Would definitely do a return visit.

Exceptional. We stayed in Snowhill, is all one floor with a view to the main street, absolutely loved it. Spotlessly clean as usual. Friday and Saturday is completely full we are gutted but hope to return soon.

Outstanding, we stayed in Cirencester. Blinds have been replaced by curtains looks much better and modern. So peaceful cooking and watching Netflix dinner in our spacious very clean dinning room. Great place most recommended

Stunning spotless and spacious apartment. We stayed in Burford Apartment. Both bedrooms upstairs with twin beds and one king size bed, Two x Walking showers and two baths, two toilets, very large kitchen/dinning area and living room downstairs. Beautiful.

The property itself was great. It was just a little difficult trying to book a taxi.
The property was very conveniently located. The rooms were a good size and were very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were really good and the complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits were great. It was very easy to get into the property too.

Exceptional, disappointing that we have to leave today after having such a good time with our friends in a spotlessly clean spacious apartment. Is fully booked Saturdays unless you book in advance. Looking forward to return next week to due ongoing building work to our house.

Exceptional. We had a discount on being regular costumers. Absolutely stunning place so clean. We stayed in all of the apartments by now and just can't fault it. Can't wait to return at the weekend if spaces available.

We had such a wonderful stay. Shame that is fully booked tomorrow we hopping to return over the weekend if any spaces. 10 out of 10 throughout you just can't fault it.

Exceptional we had the staff setting up an extra bed for our grandson. Due to being regulars it was free of charge. Also our dog stayed for free for staying so often. We are chuffed so happy with this place feels like home.

Outstanding, we had a couple of days in the garden doing BBQ , beautiful sunshine. Amazing apartment can't fault it. We absolutely love it, and we return every week for a treat.
