Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It's in a good position and we visit Ripon often so very handy when our caravan site is closed for the winter, staff are friendly too.

United KingdomOur room on the first floor had a view of the kitchen ventilation system, which was running quite early in the morning. The room was also very small. Parking is at the rear of the hotel and is tight if you have a larger car.
Great location for our visit to Ripon. The staff were really good and very friendly.

United KingdomThe room was freezing when we arrived at 2.30pm. I switched on the convector fire but it was evening before the room was comfortably warm. I kept the bathroom door open to enable some warmth into there as the bathroom was also very cold. I was able to alter the thermostat but had to keep the heating on during the night and turn it up again in the morning. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade.
Location perfect, close to river walks and cathedral. Lovely town. Good, friendly service when ordering breakfast and dinner.

United KingdomSome of the staff weren't so friendly or helpful, all seemed to be overstretched working in multiple areas and not having the time to fulfil requests due to having to serve behind the bar, which took priority over helping the hotel guests. I think the rooms should be priced below £100 per night based on our experience, we are likely going to stay elsewhere on our next visit to Ripon.
Location is brilliant. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the night porter on a difficult night when the fire alarm was set off by a late reveller.
