We struggled a little with the heating. Couldn’t get the central heating on and used the oil radiators. The house was just a little chilly

Very clean. Bedrooms were lovely and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom were fabulous

No outside area, two flights of stairs. But we knew both of those things before we came.

This cottage is in a perfect location to access shops and pubs in Ulverston, as well as the other attractions that the area has to offer. It's a charming, quirky cottage with everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are very good. We had a fabulous stay.

no garden or outside space for the dog but we knew that when we booked. just nipped him out round the block each morning to do his business. long walks nearby tired him out, and us!

clean and cosy and tight in the centre of Ulverston the location was just superb for us, 2 mins to our favourite pubs and restaurants and plenty of shops.

At first one of the in house fire alarms kept beeping but it eventually stopped. Assumed as it was WiFi linked it had become unlinked but sorted itself.

Location was great and we managed to get a parking space right outside.

The house hadn’t had the heating on for some time. Everything inside was extremely cold down to the furnicture and bedding and towels. When we tried to put the heating on it didn’t work , we called the owner for advise by he didn’t know what was wrong. We eventually worked it out that the boiler needed topping up with water and we had to borrow a radiator key from a neighbour as most of the radiators needed bleeding . This was all very stressful for the first few hours of our stay and shouldn’t have had to be done by us. The house is in need of some maintenance lights buzzing in the lounge, light fitting missing in the bathroom and faulty tap in the bathroom and other things which could all be sorted if it was inspected I feel.

Lovely property in a great location.

Double bed a wee bit small, though it might not be poss to get a king-sized into either room we’d have preferred one room to have two singles as an alternative, but that’s pickie, really.

We arrived early and ?Fiona was still making the place ready for us. She was absolutely brilliant, so kind and friendly. Location was fab. Light and airy. Bedrooms great. Kitchen really excellent. Bathroom too. Great base for the Folk Festival. Though there’s on dedicated parking it was easy to find somewhere so don’t let that put you off at all.

One of the living room lights and a bedside lamp weren’t working and one of the bedroom blinds had a broken cord. Also it wasn’t clear where we were supposed to park.

The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were modern and clean. It was more spacious than I expected!

The heating was off when we arrived and it was freezing so turned up high then got too hot. Would be better to keep heating on low continuously. Also not enough loo roll had to buy our own which was annoying. Had to pay £18 for a 3 day parking pass but it is very close.

Lovely apartment in a great location. Good size rooms and well presented.

We arrived on probably the coldest day of the year and it was freezing inside, it would have been nice to come in to a nice warm property, saying that, it soon warmed up. This was only a small thing and I'm not really complaining, it was freezing though, and the windows were open!

The location, couldn't have been better, very central to the shops and eating places, also the fact that we could park right outside was fantastic. It was easy to get the key once we got the correct key code, the wrong code was put on the booking site, but I phoned the owner who gave me the correct one.

There is parking for two cars at the front door but you have to get parked there early. The painted sign suggested KEEP CLEAR, which I assume is meant for guests to have a space. Sadly locals park there instead of on the close by GILL, which requires a fee between 0800 and 1800 hrs.

The property is in a great position for beginning a country walk, and visiting town shops, pubs etc.
