The ensuite shower was a bit short for my father but I had seen this mentioned in another review and still booked it. The bar below sounded lively but we slept easily.

We managed to book not long before we arrived and we chose it because of the late check in. It was great that the pub was able to accommodate us at such short notice. The staff were really helpful. The breakfast was really good.

As I have already mentioned, we stayed on a Tuesday over to Wednesday in early January and we experienced a little traffic noise and slight noise from the bar below. This was hardly worth mentioning but may be something worth taking into account more at the weekend or in the busiest time of the year.

This small homely hotel is situated very close to the place we wished to attend. The staff were very helpful and friendly, making us very welcome from prior to and during our stay. In particular I have to mention Andy,Kimberly, and Kate. The room was warm and comfortable, which was a concern before we arrived as it was early January after all, and I must again thank Andy and Kimberly for an excellent breakfast on the day of our departure.

Good size room, recently refurbished to a very good standard. Good shower and comfortable bed with a decent size TV. Friendly atmosphere with a good selection in the bar. Excellent breakfast, the best we've had for a long time.

nothing to not like. bathroom very small but it is what it is with the size of the building.

a lovely old pub. they were happy for our dog to stay. food was great value and very tasty. we stayed for pizza night and had s lovely breakfast. friendly people and nice clean comfortable room.

We had specifically booked twin beds as we were siblings travelling together- on arrival to find a single double sleeper. A pop up frame/mattress was brought up on request but we had to use the mattress on the floor. A little disappointed. Breakfast was unfortunately misunderstood and we felt the standard rate was pricey for what we ate.

Was on a rather busy junction so there was a fair bit of traffic noise. We arrived to check in at around 2-30pm hoping for a bite to eat and a drink but there was no one around, rang the number on the board and was given code to key safe box to just let ourselves in, bar does not open till 5pm.

Good parking facilities Room was OK but could do with a bit of refurbishment. The bed was comfortable. My husband booked for breakfast and said it was excellent. We did have a couple of drinks in the bar in the evening and the bar server girl was very pleasant.

OK for me.

Excellent value for money. Breakfast was excellent. Bar was open till late so if you want a quiet room ask for one as some rooms are above the bar.
