The dinner menu was fairly high in price with the look and feel of the restaurant, in my opinion this was the only let down. Considering there isn't much else around without a walk into the town centre which would be a 30 minute walk or so, which is what we ended up doing.

Hotel was clean, large & had beautiful views. Breakfast was also a stand out, ours was included in the room price & would usually be a buffet but it was all made to order and had a great menu selection.

Decor a little marked in place where lights have rubbed the walls etc. Bathroom a little slow with draining but there were maintenance works happening in the hotel.

We were in room 317. The room was perfect. Clean, spacious, wonderful views, warm and lovely en-suite bathroom. We had dinner at night. The menu had a good selection and portions were great value for money. Beautifully presented and served by friendly, helpful staff. Again the breakfast menu had a great selection. Value for money, served by friendly helpful staff. Our visit was an overnight visit to use vouchers we received. This was a very much needed break and to be treated to such a welcome from all your staff was wonderful. Everything was just perfect and most definitely will be back.

Would have preferred a buffet-style breakfast The room was too hot with no obvious heating control Menu for evening meal lacked quality, too much pub food and quantity too large for small eaters who then thought it was overpriced.

Dog facilities, and local beach. Room size very generous, and the bed, though lighting not bright enough and usual TV remote that doesn't work well.

The hotel itself was lovely, the staff helpful and friendly! The room was spacious clean and very comfortable, the food I had was lovely, well presented and hot! I would definitely like to stay again the next time I come to this part of Scotland

Unfortunately we had a power cut. For 2 hours. We got to 4pm and we had just got our meal. We ate in the dark. We went up to our rooms but stayed in one room as it was the warmest. The manager was very efficient and gave us artificial candles for light but couldn’t do anything about heating . He offered and organised a mini bus to take us to a sister hotel. During the stage of organising the lights came on. We asked if we could stay in the room until 2 pm which they obliged us with. (The next day as we had booked 3 sea view rooms and did not get the benefit off ) . Although there was no guarantee of the power staying on we choose to stay in the hotel rather than have the disruption of moving to another hotel. The power stayed on but my friend was up during the night and advised that the power was off and there was no water in the cold tap. This did not cause inconvenience as most of us were unaware as we were sleeping. The following morning , we had a lovely breakfast and we were given the bill for our late lunch the previous day. I would have expected a discount off the bill as we ate in the dark. The manager that morning advised that she did not have authorisation to do that. We paid the bill in full. We also asked could we return at a later date at the same rate that we had paid , again they looked up the system and could give us a rate of £134 , four sea view rooms on 22 - 23 February. Advised us if booking. Com could give us a rate of £88 per room B&B which was the rate we had for our overnight stay then they could match it. I don’t know if this is possible but it would help to revisit our stay with a pleasant experience.

Absolutely blew my expectations away. I had tried to book the spa suite but it was full. On arrival they gave us a free upgrade to the most fantastic suite we have ever stayed in. Double jacuzzi bath, sauna, fantastic layout and lovely views from 3 balconies. Breakfast served room service was beautiful and dinner was also lovely in the restaurant. Fantastic stay just wish it was longer.

The bar area feels like an afterthought, not relaxing for hotel guests to sit in after dinner. Food was pretty poor, tempura batter was tough & rubbery, breakfast sausages & bacon not the quality you would expect given hotel description of itself.

Staff are delightful and we had a lovely spacious room with seating area overlooking the beach, Arran and beyond. Stunning sunsets.
