The room was delightful, very comfy bed but bathroom in the room so no privacy, not my thing at all. The room had sloping roof so we had to walk around hunched which was ok, but not ideal. However, very comfortable and would thoroughly recommend and would definitely stay again. Staff are super friendly and there is a very good vibe about the Welly....

Breakfast was excellent, great location for the function we attended and lovely village.

The only thing I could say is that the back of my room ( not the front aspect ) overlooked a small car park . There were drapes and blinds in the bathroom to give you privacy , although one floor up so probably couldn’t be seen anyway .

The breakfast was delicious, although it was a big portion . Could keep anyone going all day ,

The room was perfect, overlooking the church. The bathroom, luxurious with great toiletries and fluffy towels. Ellie (the manager, I think) was so helpful, booking us a taxi, then later when we were waiting for it outside, came out to tell us it was going to be late after ringing up to see where it was. She was there in the morning bright and cheerful to give us our lovely breakfast.

Not a criticism but as I’m a light sleeper it would have been appreciated if the extractor fan in the bathroom could have been turned off at night.

Friendly welcome, stylish, spacious (and quirky) room, great breakfast, very comfy bed, good value. Free parking a bonus.

Given that it is a very old building they have made the most of the accessibility of rooms as there was no possibility of installing a lift but otherwise access to rooms was easy abd the fire regulation doors were well placed

The breakfast surpassed all expectations there was an incredible choice of both hot and cold food

We are used to a big bed, but I knew what I was booking. The language coming out of the kitchen during breakfast was enough to curdle the hollandaise on my eggs.

Beautifully renovated, friendly and helpful staff

Could do with bedside tables in room 6 - the ones behind the bed head are not really accessible. A plug socket on the bed side of the room would be useful too.

Laundry bags stacked in the narrow corridors one morning, blocking access to the room. A good choice at breakfast although the Full English includes really awful fatty streaky bacon. An olde worlde place with narrow access in places, so would not recommend for people with limited mobility.

The Wellington (the boot not an old aeroplane!), is an old public house, central to the old partof Welwyn, with on-site parking at the rear of the pub. The staff are excellent, although breakfast staff are somewhat overwhelmed, trying to serve both residents and early visitors to the pub. Anything on the breakfast menu is included in the room price. Room are quirky but clean.

Was 2 floors up steep stairs. Quite dusty and cobwebbed. Needs more plug points by the bed and a bedside table. TV was also tiny and would be great to have room service. Also quite noisy from the road. Breakfast was average.

Room was lovely and cosy. Great nespresso machine with nice biscuits and free water.
