The shower wasn’t powerful enough for my liking, and the bed was very soft and uncomfortable when like me you have a bad back.

The property was spotless, with an array of COVID-19 safeguards still in place. The staff were very hospitable and provided great advice as to places to visit .

Limited car parking, but there was free on road parking.

Berta and Ed are really wonderful people. They welcomed us and made our stay very comfortable. Very clean. We had the basement apartment for our stay. Good sized rooms. Location is within walking distance of the beach and Marina via Torre Abbey Park. Excellent customer service, responded within a couple of hours to any messages I sent via booking.com One day the light switch broke, they got it replaced immediately. Overall, highly recommended and very competitive price too. A big thank you to Berta and Ed.

The property was a great location central to Torquay. The owners were wonderful, so accommodating and helpful and so friendly as well. Our room was huge, clean and was fantastic for a weeks stay. The cooked breakfast was out of this world. We can’t wait to go back again and stay with them again

Fantastic! Service was next to none, both the owners was very welcoming and friendly on arrival but also the whole way through our stay. Extremely helpful with insights around where we were staying giving us ideas on things to do. Room was clean and a comfy stay but also COVID compliant.

There was nothing that we didn’t like about The Westbank

It was comfortable, clean, modern and spacious. Berta, Ed and their family could not have been anymore accommodating. They are so friendly and welcoming and we did really feel at home whilst we were almost 300 miles away. The apartment we stayed in was ideal and had literally everything you could wish for. The location of the Westbank is ideal for everything you want to do in Torquay yet it is also tucked away in a nice quiet spot. Our holiday in Torquay was fantastic and staying at the Westbank was a massive part of this. We can’t wait to return next year and would recommend Berta and Ed’s place to anyone…!!

The only niggle would be was the bed sheet didn't quite fit the mattress and was was slightly annoying during the night, however this was only minor.

Location was perfect. Walk was 10-15 minutes to the sea front and 20 minutes walk to the marina. Breakfast was lovely and there was so much choice. We felt 'Covid safe' from arrival to departure and we were very impressed with the measures they had put in place for protection, eg, booking breakfast, leaving a tray outside your door with requests to top up our room with refreshments, loo roll, bin bags etc. Great interaction with the owners during breakfast and they suggested a few places to visit which we didn't plan on visiting. One of these places was Cockington which was well worth the visit and we were able to walk there which took just over 30 minutes. There are regular busses to the local surrounding areas.

We had a wonderful experience at the Westbank last week. It was very easy to access to We were served by a lovely lady called Berta who was really friendly and knowledgeable about the food and also the local area.
