We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomI was really annoyed that my room didn't have a hairdryer, despite the room booking said there was one. I tried calling reception before the finished at 11pm, and emailed, but no response, so I couldn't wash my hair. And because the little reception podium is right in front of the bar, I couldn't exactly go down in my PJs to question it. Stairs/hallways are quite noisy as it's an old building. Tried to use the floor lamp but there was no bulb in it.
Bed was large and comfy. Shower and bath were both good, really clean and with decent towels that didn't feel like sandpaper (most hotels I stay in have awful towels!). Free parking, relatively easy to find, and handy having a restaurant downstairs. Only 20 mins drive from Alton Towers, which was the reason for my stay.

The room was spacious, modern and immaculately clean. There was a kettle with teas and coffees available, flat screen tv, and plenty of lamps, sockets and mirrors. The bathroom was clean with lots of clean towels and very modern. The room wasn’t noisy either. Can’t find a single fault.

After 4 years I come back here. The hotel got renewed, some rooms have been added to the hotel. The bar and the restaurant are always at top level.

United KingdomNoisy at night as single glazed and we could hear shouting at night from drinkers outside. Think £116 a night for pub accommodation with no breakfast and no toiletries was very expensive! Although another couple had a king room and only paid £67. Ours was a family room as it was the only one left but that much extra for having an extra single bed in the room wasn’t good value!
Great location for exploring Uttoxeter and its many pubs. Nice big room, comfy bed and good shower. The food was good in the restaurant. Ample parking.

United KingdomI didn't like the fact that we had booked a four poster and when we got there it wasn't available. When I questioned the receptionist she said there all the same price anyway and brushed it off. We got Room 3 and she was right it is a nice room - no four poster though
I liked the layout and the airiness of the room. High ceiling made a big difference.

Lovely atmosphere, staff so friendly and helpful. We had breakfast, which was excellent quality and enormous, absolutely scrumpy. And evening meal just as delicious, a very busy restaurant with lovely atmosphere. Room was bright and airy, very clean and comfortable. Location right in the heart of town and a ten minute walk from racecourse. Thank you we will be returning for our third visit soon!!

United KingdomI was travelling with my 4 year old and he was able to open and close the windows which was a safety concern. Also our room had the Hotel sign directly outside our window which meant it didn't get fully dark at night despite the curtains being drawn.
Staff were very friendly. The room was turned over very promptly and to a high standard. The bed was very comfortable and the coffee and teas were replenished. Very suitable location for our visit to Alton Towers.
