On arrival we were welcomed by Sally who was very nice and helpful. She gave us the front door key, our room key and talked us through things. The room was clean and comfortable with a double bed, tv and bathroom in one room plus two single beds in an adjoining room. There was a free car park alongside the property. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk were provided. Just a few minutes' drive from Thirsk the property has a very good location. A one-night stay in the family room is very good value for money.

Heating came on during the night which made the room very warm.

Big breakfast, family room was very good with a separate room of twin beds off the main room. Quite area and staff very friendly.

The breakfast could have been better , no toast or juice if there was no one told us about it . It wasn’t worth £8 each .

The bed was really comfortable, but the noise from next door very loud . The room was very clean Breakfast was not the best the bacon was really dried out couldn’t eat it .

Extractor fans very loudto the point when next room adjacent went to bathroom it wakes you up.allso can hear everything.needs insulation on partition walls.this is from an ex hotelier.

Staff fantastic food great and very good value.served well.could not ask for more on that point.so a big 10/10 from me.one girl stood out(you no how you are)it would have been allso nice to see a dress code.all staff.but keep working hard and it will come 👍

I found the bed to be far too firm for my liking so didn't get the best night's sleep but I appreciate that's a matter of personal preference.

We arrived 15 mins earlier than check in but was told it would cost £20 if wanted to check in early, the room was freezing , no heating on beginning of February,so they gave us an heater,when we asked about heating, also stated WiFi but it wouldn't connect us

Lovely views of the countryside,room was clean & beds were comfy the bar was open and they served food, altho didn't try any ,its about 2 miles into thirsk , so booked taxis there an back which cost us around £22 there and back which is a bit steep but it was cheaper to stay there an book taxis than stay in the square

Great place in a fantastic location, amazing window view of Sutton Bank. Queen size bed which was unexpected, everything else very clean and well kept. Free parking which is always nice, Only a few minuets drive into Thirsk which has plenty to offer amenities wise. Almost like a spa, quiet and in a tranquil location, will be using again without a doubt!
