We stayed one night, on arrival the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. Every effort has been made to ensure the safety of all customers. The breakfast was lovely with everything on the plate hot and freshly cooked. All in all an enjoyable time will definitely book in there again

Due to queue when we arrived it wasn't clear where we checked in. Soon sorted and not really a problem as it was nice to see the place busy.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice cosy room, nice breakfast. Very good value for money.

Whoever designed the bedroom didn’t really think about actually using the room, lovely bright lights in the sleeping area but no way of dimming them! no bedside lamps either. Only one chair for a double room when there was plenty of room for two. Bed was brand new but too small for two people to sleep comfortably. Towel rack in the bathroom was situated over the toilet and away from the sink, I nearly lost a towel in the toilet because I forgot to put the lid down!! Wardrobe door would not open fully due to the bed being so close. And finally we stayed two nights and the room was not serviced

Breakfast was good well cooked and large portions. Would have liked some fresh fruit as listed on the menu. The property is in the middle of being refurbished but room 5 where we stayed was already done. Everything thing was new and obviously very clean. Quiet room

everything apart from the food .single glazed windows, had to put towels on windowcill to stop the draught as there was a gap where the window didnt shut. cobwebs on ceiling, extractor fan in bathroom didnt work, no hot water from tap, had to boil the kettle to shave. electric shower kept going from boiling hot to cold. the tap in the sink was held in place by silicone. thankfully only staying for one night. i think it is geared up to cater for the workers on the new bridge rather than tourists.

Basic room in need of decoration, with a sloping floor and inadequate lighting. The room was cold when we arrived (but soon warmed up with an electric heater). Logging onto WiFi was a trial. The WiFi code in the guest information was (so I discovered after several failed attempts) for a guest WiFi that either didn't exist or wasn't switched on. WiFi was available in the pub downstairs, but there was no information on that in the guest room.

Good location. Free parking. Relatively quiet.

    Nothing at all

Iv stayed here a few times now, as a solo traveler and with friends, would never stay anywhere else in Machynlleth, the rooms are clean and have everything I need, the staff are so accommodating and lovely. The locals are so friendly and the whole pub vibe is the best, I stay here to ride Dyfi bike park mostly, which is literally a stone’s throw away, The rooms are not modern, I’m not going to lie, but they are clean, comfortable and cheap as chips, and my honest opinion is, the whole experience is an absolute bargain, from the lovely staff, to the delicious food and the comfy beds, If your looking for a base to stay for your day adventures, may it be walking, riding or sight seeing, you won’t go wrong with this accommodation, it’s so much more than a room, it’s a social experience and I love it!

The room was freezing cold, the heating didn't come on all night and the duvet was too thin. I would have been warmer sleeping in my van. I ended up sleeping fully clothed, I was awake every hour because I was so cold

Close to where I wanted to be on Saturday. Staff were friendly enough
