The initial impression is that it’s a little tired… I didn’t have high hopes about the hotel because of that. BUT although slightly ´tired’ looking downstairs, the bedrooms rooms were better than OK.

Rooms were very clean and comfy. Staff were super helpful and small touches (like putting extra butter on our table & remembering our previous order) were lovely.

My room overlooked where beer kegs were kept, the bush outside of my window was full of swarming bees meaning I couldn't open the window and it was a bit noisy but as I was out for the evening it wasn't really too much trouble.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and whilst a bit dated the rooms were well fitted out and comfortable.

Not really a negative, but room was too dim as low energy light bulbs had been used. Really would benefit from brighter LED light bulbs.

The duvet was to heavy and thick the eggs Benedict had to much sauce my friend had a martini espresso and came out of a can not made and we were spoken to differently compared to other guests at breakfast we didn’t like our first main meal there so we didn’t eat there again only the breakfast

Some areas of the room, especially the bathroom, a bit tatty and could do with touching up. The walk to town through the woods is lovely if you are fit but some elderly members of our group found it difficult - it would be good to make that clearer when booking.

Purchased a breakfast as an extra, it was really not nice. Buffet continental items were pretty standard fare. Coffee was stewed. Ordered pancakes and bacon as hot breakfast. Never knew that pancakes could be inedible. They came burned and so tough, the cutlery wouldn't cut them! Bacon wasn't that much better. Staff member supervising breakfast area was quite disinterested in his customers. Very disappointed.

Attractive roadside historic inn with pleasant reception staff, generous car parking. Room was quiet, spacious and attractive with garden view. Very comfortable bed. Modern decor and bathroom. Dinner in their restaurant was very nice.

I found the bed a bit uncomfortable, but probably because I am used to a firm mattress at home.

The room was a good size, light and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Very convenient disabled parking space near the entrance, which was very handy as it was raining when we arrived. Good location for Arundel and Fontwell racecourse.

The location was great, as we were spending our days with our friend who lives close to Arundel. The staff were friendly and really accommodating when we discussed difficulties that we were having. We loved the board games that were available and we loved the hotel grounds, which were great for our dog. We would definitely come back.
