In .y room l heard the rubbish truck arrive and leave.For me it was too noisy but l understand the rubbish has to be collected.

Shower and bath were awkward to use as the taps were against the wall so were different to use but this is a minor point as worked it out in the end

Room was very nice and comfortable, pub and restaurant was very nice and a nice distance to walk into Arundale via the woodland path. Lovely breakfast and dinner in the restaurant

There was a generator or something similar outside our window below which hummed all night.

Locality, within walking distance of Arundel through the path at the back. The rooms were large and comfortable.

The outside of building being renovated but feel a little more attention needed inside. Marks on walls in dinning area and quite a few stains on the seats in the bar come dinning area. Although there was lots of touristy leaflets in entrance there was no information book in bedrooms I.e. times of meals, local attractions or how heating operated. Not sure if all room are the same but the bath/shower would not be accessible to anyone with lower limb ailments. No alternative room offered.

Room good but failed to have light, mirror and socket in one place for doing hair and make-up. Shower attachment dated and pretty useless. Ate in restaurant on two nights but on final bill charged for three nights! Actually overcharged by £80.90. Receptionist couldn’t provide our signed receipt for the meal and actually admitted (eventually) that the one she did have had someone else’s name on it. If I hadn’t checked properly we would have been overcharged. Left a sour note.

The room was a bit dated, and had mould stains on the curtain. It’s also a little further out so you’ll need to get a taxi into Arundel.

The staff were in incredible- all really friendly and made us feel welcome in the hotel and at meal times. Definitely a highlight.

As the hotel is by a main thoroughfare, exiting the hotel to join the main road can be a dangerous endeavour as motorists tend to drive rather fast along this road as it curves past the hotel. I think traffic-calming measures are necessary along this stretch of road.

The location is close to Arundel town. The bedroom is well decorated. Parking lot is well-lit and CCTV’ed. The hotel is right by the main road but it is not noisy at all, particularly at night.

The staff are, without a doubt, the biggest asset to this hotel, followed by great food and lovely immaculately clean rooms. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception who was so helpful, and the restaurant staff were knowledgeable and happy, providing a fab service. The rooms were beautifully clean, and the housekeeping team was equally friendly. Location is great for Arundel. You could drive or walk into the castle/town.. Would definitely recommend it for a weekend break :)

Early morning traffic noise from the busy main road plus a morning 'dawn chorus' of birdsong ensured very little sleep. There's also a field behind the hotel that holds cattle who added their own version of the dawn chorus by 'mooing' every half hour after the birds had finished! This made sleep really difficult. The location is charming but double or triple glazing would help. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights then a room change might have been the answer. Shower head was faulty in room 21 but the bath was a bonus.

Staff were eager to please and Josh in particular made us feel very welcome.

Pillow was a bit too high for me, causing some neck stiffness. Mugs were too small for a decent cup of tea.
