Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing at all to criticise. The approach road leading to Wilcove Inn is very narrow with no passing places once you commit. The locals will know this and it does add to the 'find' of the place making it rather special. Its quite safe to drive but I would recommend arriving in daylight for your very first visit so the driver can get bearings and perspective - as we did but only by luck! If total darkness or fog then great care must be needed. Once you have driven it then all is OK - or there is an alternative way in and out of the village which would take more text to describe but any road map would guide you. There is next to no traffic but we did meet one tractor - and the farmer was a real gentleman given we were obviously the visitors to the Inn !!
Location was excellent for us - looking to do day walks in local area. Room was excellent with huge bath - a big reward after many miles each day as now in my late 60's. Breakfast was superb - we only needed the 'Small Breakfast' which was great quality, proper bacon and everything tasted how it should! The 'big breakfast' read as twice the size and even though I have big appetite would have really taken some eating !! - Good Luck. Evening meals were also good. Proper tasting Burger - good portions - very friendly staff. Having a pair of binoculars in the room to view the wildlife from the window was a real nice touch even though tide was out most the time we were using room. Overall an excellent place to stay and we felt lucky to have been able to book 1 of only 2 rooms here. Thank You.

United KingdomI had to come home
This place is a gem! I booked it purely for location as we were attending an event at HMS Raleigh. I would definitely stay again, and I would highly recommend it. The staff are all super friendly, the room had an amazing view and the food was excellent. One of our party has ceoliac and highly sensitive, particularly with cross contamination. They were spoilt for choice on the menu, and our server, Alex, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Even if you don't stay, go for the food !! The room was very spacious with a lovely ensuite with a decent sized bathtub. A little extra touch was the binoculars on the window seat. Well worth it

United KingdomStayed for 2 nights on 15/16th February for my Grandson's passing out parade at HMS Raleigh. The location was perfect for this event. Could not fault our stay, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Had a family meal on Friday evening after the parade and the food and service was excellent. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again.

United KingdomWe have no negatives.
The lady who checked us in couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The room was large and well furnished/equipped. We had an amazing meal in the evening and the breakfast set us up for most of the day! The view was amazing from our room and the beer garden too.

United KingdomThe pub was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. The view from our room looked out onto the river tamar so there was plenty to see as we relaxed in the mornings. Staff were wonderful and make us feel welcome. We were a short drive from the Torpoint ferry so got easily across to Devon or deeper into Cornwall.

United KingdomNothing to complain about. If there was one niggle, the bean to cup coffee was a bit on the weak side and there was no fruit or yoghurt to have at breakfast.
Great location at the end of a creek on the Tamar. At high tide the pub is right on the edge of the water with lovely views. Village very pretty and quiet. The pub is exceptionally well run, very clean and very dog friendly. Room was spacious and very clean. Lovely views over the water and a bonus pair of binoculars on the window seat. En suite bathroom very clean. No problem bringing two dogs into the pub and they slept happily on the floor in the bedroom. The pub has great reviews and justifiably so. It was busy on Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to book the last table. Breakfast is cooked to order but we just had cereal and toast as we're not full english types! Bread was lovely - not from a basic sliced loaf. Staff were very accommodating. Will definitely return.
