We arrived in late April after a long walk, dripping wet on a day that never stopped raining. The first thing we noticed was the warm log fire roaring away drying everyone's boots - perfect, we joined in! Great food and real ales in the evening and mega breakfast in the morning.

WiFi in the room was non-existent unless you stood by the door!

We had an enjoyable stay in a comfortable pub. The food was good and the service was excellent. Our room was quiet and the shower was great.

En-suite needs some attention, mildew on the ceiling and around shower. Could smell it as you entered the bedroom. WiFi code in the room would be helpful

Bed was very creaky, if you rolled over in the night it would wake you up it was that loud. Toenails on the floor. Could get WiFi in the pub area once entering our room we couldn't' get any WiFi as out of range.

Venue is nice and modern. Good parking. Friendly staff, nice meal good range of drinks.

The property, a glamping pod, was very pleasant for the £63 offer, BUT if I’d paid the full price of £163 I wouldn’t have been very pleased at all. Ok situation.

It has everything we needed for our stay, the hut was so warm and cosy, with towels and dressing gowns provided for hot tub use, the hot tub was great once we got it warmed up it held its temperature well.

How cosy and private it was with the added bonus of the pub on site!

Size of bathroom was on the small size and a bit over kill with the amount of mirrors but had all you needed.

Beautiful building and surroundings. Loved the log fire, friendly atmosphere and the grounds were perfect for what we needed it for with our dog. Food was amazing, big portions of very tasty food and the breakfast was equally tasty.

The bedroom has wood flooring, the bed has no headboard, the bed has wheels so throughout the night the pillows end up on the floor, the bedding is a complex set of coverings, it’s as if Duvets haven’t been invented !

There was only 2 toilet rolls for 4 days. We only had one bag of logs for the hot tub and no matches. The bar manager (I think) ignored me at the bar lol

The location is rural so would definitely say to prepare what you want to do! The staff young female and male staff members were really nice!

We didn’t get to use the hot tub as it took 4 - 6 hours to heat up ( wood fired). What a shame We also had a problem with the hot water and heating but when we reported this the following day, the woman did come and re-set it within 10 minutes

Pillows are getting a little bit flat but we managed to get comfortable eventually. The building is a little bit noisy with heavy doors slamming but it hasn't put us off coming back for a third time!

Very cosy and clean room. Perfect bath and shower. Lovely view. Staff are wonderful. The food was delicious! This is our second time staying in this room and we will definitely be back!

If you intend on using the hot tub on your first night then I would give it at least 6 hours with a roaring fire to heat up. We were a little disappointed on the first night because it didn't say anywhere that in the colder months it takes that long. However on the second night it was amazing! We sat and boiled in there for hours with the moon shining bright and the most perfect clear sky.

The staff were lovely and the food was amazing, bring your appetite because the portions are huge. We stayed in Bluebell and it was perfect. Such adorable little huts. Location is great walks in every direction. Just a short drive to the aquarium and south lakes safari zoo also.

Could have been a bit cleaner. Pots, pans, cups were all very dirty and lots of dust on the area where the bed was but otherwise the cleanliness was very good.

Beautiful location and the shepherds huts have lots of privacy. Super easy to check in. Had eve try thing we needed for a short break.
