Everything ws really good, the only thing that would have been a nice extra touch would have been a water bowl for the dog in the room, I had packed one so it didn't matter but it would have been a nice thing to see especially as it cost extra to take a dog.

All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and polite. The room was very comfortable really warm and cosy at night, especially good as the weather turned very wintery. The food was excellent both for the evening pub meal and the morning breakfast, very good portions sizes and very accommodating to make changes to the menu options. Being able to take our dog was a big bonus and being able to have her with us whilst eating was great, we have a young dog (7 mths old) so don't really trust her not to chew anything if left alone too long! When we took our dog for a walk (an open field very close by) it was wonderfull how many of the local people said hello, it's obviously a lovely friendly village and we would have loved to be staying longer than just 1 night.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Our room was fabulous with excellent facilities. The bed was so comfortable with beautiful bed linen. The en-suite bathroom was large with fluffy towels and ample supply of products.

A few cobwebs in hard to reach places.

The staff were all outstanding. The Chef is excellent & deserves credit for the culinary delights he creates. The room was cosy & comfortable. Well worth a visit.

Staff were so lovely. They couldn’t do enough for us. We had dinner there and it was fantastic. The accommodation was so lovely & comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was amazing Definately worth the money and would absolutely stay there again!

Cannot fault anything, there is clear attention to detail and a determination to provide a good service on the part of all staff.

We had a lovely warm room in a block separate from the pub itself. Real coffee and cafetiere provided, lots of space for luggage and clothes, big soft towels and a clean tiled bathroom with bath and shower. All the staff were friendly and remembered that one of us needed a gluten free diet which they handled very well. The food was excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. Highly recommended.

On the first morning there was a bit of repair work going on outside that started quite early - it would have been nice if we’d been told this was going to happen as we’d been hoping for a slow, quiet start and the noise kind of ruined our planned lie-in.

The Woodhouse Arms is a lovely inn and the cottages are equally lovely. Plenty of space, clean and very quaint. We really liked the facilities and the breakfast was great.
