The room on the top floor is not ideal for tall people, we could hardly stand up straight. Other than that, it was a charming room, a good bed (a little short though), with a lovely view and all the coffee and tea you want.

For breakfast you get to pick from a small menu. As an starter you can choose to have some Kentish yoghurt, which was delicious (however the first morning it was not available) There are 4-5 options for breakfast, such as a full English breakfast, a sourdough toast with avocado, poached eggs and bacon or smoked salmon and a vegetarian option and buttermilk pancakes. All very goods, howver for the latter it depended on who was in the kitchen making them. One morning they were very fluffy on the inside and crispy on the edges, which was lovely, the next morning, they were flat, very doughy and dense. But overall, the breakfast was really good and you order the drinks you like.

The bath in the bedroom still takes some getting used to, and the size and access to the WC wouldn't suit everyone. Even the very steep and narrow staircase up to the room was slightly challenging.

A very quirky room which was both interesting and comfortable. Didn't expect such a strong "Oar / nautical" theme, but later realised that this was quite close to water historically.

Everything was lovely. Only thing - could have done with a mirror near a plug so could use it for drying my hair. Also a small table by the bath to put shampoo etc on

That we had to leave after only one night.

From the moment we pulled up outside it looked like the ideal night in a little country pub. The styling and decor was quaint yet still fresh and contemporary. The bed and bath both exceeded expectations. Little touches like the espresso machine, milk in the fridge just outside the door and the port/liquer was delicious! Even having a bluetooth radio that actually synced easily to a device was appreciated. The food here was brilliant! Dinner and breakfast both superb.

Only note here is as you would expect the floors are a tad squeaky and walls are thin but you expect that from such an authentic pub stay experience!!

The quaint English pub vibe and the beautiful location. Restaurant was excellent!!

No fridge in our room but not a major issue at all. We just took the milk from the shared fridge on the middle floor.

The location is stunning - the rooms were exemplary - the breakfast hearty - the dinner menu plentiful - all in all this was a most fantastic place to stay and can not wait to return. Highly recommend. I have refrained from putting any pictures up as do not want to spoil your guaranteed blissful surprise at just how beautiful this pub is.

The stairs to our room were very steep and probably not suitable for more elderly people.

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was done with a smile .

My stay was absolutely magical. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind. I was made to feel welcome. Where do I begin to describe the beautiful room. My stay was a much need rest between work bookings and I felt like I had be transported to a wonderland. The bath, just wow! The bed, the decor. It was Valentines and I had the most amazing dinner in the pub. To top it all breakfast the next day was epic! Don't think twice about staying, I was on the first level. A double bedroom. All the rooms have different themes. I looked out on the chutch and fields. Kasha, was so helpful and kind, she decorated for Valentine, a very talented lady. I want to go back soon! Simply amazing!
