Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing to report.
A lovely warm welcome from Sheila and very enjoyable guided tour of the yurt and the acres that surround it....although it was intermittently rainy and muddy we loved the outdoors here....fish pond and fish feeding, the best play area ever with zip wire, mud kitchen, Wendy house, swings and more...watched the daylight come up with my 6 year old granddaughter chatting by the pond...a very magical experience in nature...

United KingdomA small thing- A sign/ arrow saying "Yurt" or similar- we weren't 100% we were in the right place!
What a beautiful yurt! The owners had done a spectacular job of fitting out the yurt with a beautiful furnishings and wonderful fixtures and fittings. The cooking facilities were amazing, with everything you would need to self cater with ease. The owner had provided (homemade?) scones, jam, clotted cream and a pint of milk as a welcome gift and it was a lovely gesture and very appreciated- thank you! There were also board games to play! Communication was brilliant and Brian messaged me immediately after booking to let him know I could contact with any questions. He was lovely on arrival- incredibly welcoming- and didn't bat an eyelid at my children repeatedly blinding him with torches! Outside, the yurt has access to a large deck, BBQ, table set and small fire area and is beautifully set within trees. At night, you could hear owls and wildlife and it was magical. It really did feel like something of a faerie tale hideaway, with a pinch of pixie and whimsical. The outdoor playground built for the owners' grandchildren was amazing! I am in awe of your DIY! What a magical space for your grandchildren and thank you for including this for your guests- my youngest was very sad to leave the play area and my middle was in awe of the zip line! The toilet is a little walk through the woods (not far) and made for a more special wee! We were glad of the torches provided by the owner, but didn't mind a short walk to the loo (not any further than a recent campsite we visited). It was nice to have the luxury of a flushing indoor loo and real shower. Also inside is a large washing space with washing machine, sink etc. The washing/ toilet area is attached to the back of "The Lodge" Building, but accessed through a back door, and fully private (for sole use of the Yurt). I didn't meet anyone on the way to have a wee!

United KingdomOutside lights didn't work , which wasn't just aesthetic, but also necessary when returning from loo, as so many little paths through the woods. Also toilet block I had assumed was next to the Yurt but it was actually a few minutes walk through woods , which I wasn't keen on in the middle of the night, when my bladder decides its time again.
Was a fun camping experience without all the hassle of camping ! Good sized yurt , fully equipped , lovely welcome touch of scones, clotted cream & jam, plus fresh milk in fridge . Plenty of interior lights, plus rechargeable torches for evening trips to the loo. Set in a secluded wood, with a large pond with viewing bench , parking if required, fairy garden area. Lovely touch of a very friendly young cat who is clearly used to being allowed in the Yurt, and miaowed outside the door til we let him in, then happily snuggled up to my daughter !

United KingdomNothing.
The Urt is great. Well-appointed with everything you could need. The location is great. Secluded little sanctuary of peace and tranquillity in its own area of wood. There is plenty of space for the kids to play safely in the woods with a good little play area with a climbing wall and a zip line. The owners provided fresh scones, homemade jam, and cream for us. Within a good distance of local attractions ( car is needed).
