Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLift was a bit slow.....
Great staff, comfy small room, great price (less than £50 for a night in Liverpool) and free cheese and wine in the evening - what's not to like? Good location for some excellent bars and restaurants and for Liverpool One

Isle of ManOn this occasion Wi-Fi access was sporadic meaning I had to venture to the public library. Possibly just this particular room location (619) Also whilst it wasn’t a massive issue my room wasn’t turned over, as it usually always is at this hotel.
Friendly staff as always and great location.

United KingdomThe noise was a joke from the corridor on a weekend for two reason The gap at the bottom of the door that you could hear from other guest And annoying emergency light that was so bright which at the end of our stay we told that it be turned off in a bizarre way But to fair to them they did offer a good refund after our complaint
The staff were very helpful for our stay and the location was perfect in the city centre

United KingdomThe staff were very helpful, and the location is excellent. The hotel was very clean, too. We were a bit too warm in the evening, as I'm not sure the aircon was working correctly. However, we used it solely as a base to get out and about, so it was perfect.

United KingdomGreat location, friendly staff. Room smelt a bit like cigarettes.. overall very clean and a bargain for the price. Location is perfect for the bars on Mathew St. Ask for the discount for parking in the Moorfields ncp carpark.. it makes a huge difference! Otherwise, if you have the ncp app, you get 12 hours parking on a Saturday and Sunday for £4.95. otherwise it's £24.95 for 24hrs mon-fri (12am to following 12am is classed as 1 day, if you park at 11pm.. it will charge you 24 hours after midnight).. (discount ticket knocks off £10.95 per day so very helpful!)

United KingdomNothing. Very happy with the hotel for the price.
Exactly what I expected. Small room but nice double bed, good shower and bathroom, huge TV which received TNT Sport so I could watch European football. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Moorfields station, close to all attractions and plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. Reception is also a cafe area. I had breakfast there in the form of a generously filled toasted bacon sandwich and asa much coffee etc as you want for £6.50. The young lady on reception was pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomThe size of the room and lack of hanging space for clothes. Instead of a silly stool the space could be used for drawers. Having to put ones underwear etc on the floor is not a good idea. The person sleeping on the inside of the bed has too crawl over their partner to get to the bathroom !!!
A wider choice of food at breakfast

United KingdomBreakfast offering wasn't tempting but didn't matter as superb cafe nearby. AC was noisy and I couldn't sleep, so turned it off; however it turned itself back on; so I took the key-card out of the slot near the door, and it still turned itself back on, keeping me awake. Simply couldn't turn off the AC for the entire night.
