Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomIf you're a light sleeper, where possible, ask for a room where the window doesn't back on to the beer garden as the volume could interfere with your sleep if you sleep with the window open.
Friendly staff, comfy bed and pillows and we appreciated the floor fan when it got particularly warm in the room. Great choice of biscuits with the coffee/ tea in the room too. Breakfast was a combination of continental and ordering hot food. Both were tasty. There was a good choice from the menu. The scrambled egg was so creamy and the eggs benedict was decadent.

United KingdomOnly staying for one day. We need to plan better, so we can enjoy Helmley as a base for longer.
The staff were exceptional - really helpful at all points, including our requests in advance of arriving. The room worked well for us. Breakfast was spot on, catering for our very different requirements. There was plenty of flexibility regarding our dining request in the evening.

United KingdomWe should have been warned about the radiator noise that sounded exactly like a drill into a wall in the v. early hours of the morning, I thought the place had been broken in to, and reported same to reception before an early breakfast. Only when I heard the noise again before checkout and the duration was longer that it was the central heating system air locks.
Friendly staff, interesting interior bar rooms, excellent breakfast in another interesting 'olde worlde' room, nice private garden area.
