Quite expensive and hidden charges for children staying in room. Don't get how you can book 2 adults and a child on either hotel web site or booking.com. Then get charged extra for child on arrival.

Lovely old hotel with a modest face lift. Comfortable and nice restaurant. Hotel looks onto sea and on a nice day it would a perfect position.

One of the rooms looked out onto quite a close building but the window was lovely and big which helped. The shower temperature setting was very hard to get right for us - either very hot or cold - but we did manage to get it comfortable with minute adjustments!

Rooms were comfortable and quite spacious. View out of one of two rooms was pleasant looking over the roof tops to the fields beyond even though it wasn’t a sea view. Staff were efficient, polite and friendly. Good breakfast selection in the restaurant with views out to the sea.

The room was fine but not pleased the window was broken so unable to open it to allow any fresh air plus bedside lamp not working.

There were a couple of things which disappointed us. On our first eveing the persons in the room opposite ours left a dog unattended in the room while they went to dinner. The dog barked incessantly but when we rang to reception to complain, we were told the owners were having dinner in the restaurant and they were not prepared to ask them to return to their room. Second, we had one dinner in the Seafood Grill and three breakfasts and we thought the food was only average and at times the service frustrating.

The room which was a Superior Double with Sea view was excellent with a lovely outlook. The room was spacious and well furnished.

Unfortunately we were in room 105, and there was a background “hum”. I could not put up with it and would never have been able to sleep. I told reception and we were rehoused in 104, which was lovely. There is some sort of machinery next to room 105,

The hotel was in a great location to both the town centre and the sea front. This allowed us to park up for the weekend and enjoy everything on offer without having to travel. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Thank you.

Bedroom very hot with no obvious method of regulating the temperature (other than opening the window). Double glazed window was 'blown' thereby reducing the visibility.

Location. Sea-view bedroom. Nice public rooms overlooking the beach and sea.

The bar lacked atmosphere. The breakfast was poor, the usual pre cooked plated up stuff, our order was lost as everybody was served around us, people who’d turned up twenty minutes after us were finished before we got ours, when I asked the waitress about this her reply was “ we are really busy”. After this, still no breakfast so I asked the waiter who had took the order and he sorted it eventually

The South African guy running the evening restaurant and his staff were superb. Our room was perfect. Great little town.

The radiator was not turned on in our room when we entered and was freezing The TV system is shockingly bad and everyone works on the same TV changer. Stressful and not relaxing Black pudding was requested at breakfast and never appeared!!

Lovely location, wonderful staff and they were aware we had stayed before and very welcoming to us. Always a treat to stay here, just one or two niggles

The restaurant had very poor vegetarian choices and the staff even said they needed to up their game regarding this. My partner enjoyed her fish meal but sadly, the vegetarian meal was poor with dried and burnt vegetables and looked like it had been left under a heat lamp all day. There wasn’t another choice apart from a risotto which is pretty lazy for a hotel with a chef. Sadly, the breakfast had to be returned as it was not cooked as i had asked the waiter (snotty eggs are not good at the best of times) The food is way overpriced and I will not be eating there again. We booked a superior room with a sea view,. The room was nice clean and spacious but one of the windows was obstructed by a brick balcony, and the other had a high windowsill so you had to stand to see the beach, waves etc. (see photos) Not what i would call a superior sea view, considering the price paid.
