The room is extremely old fashioned and not decorated to a high standard. The room we were in was yellow walls with black marks, our extra pillows we took out the closet had pen marks all over them. One of the duvets on the single beds was badly torn.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great location for travelling within Inverness and access to all amenities. Quiet area considering its in the city centre. Very warm hotel.

The reception staff could be more friendly and welcoming. They barely acknowledged you, no warmth whatsoever. They don't make you feel welcome and certainly do the hotel no favours. Very poor. We

Breakfast was not the best although it was free for booking.com geniuses it only offered cereal and pastries a little More choice such as toast, fruit, yoghurt, danish would have been more generous and encouraged a return booking

Attitude of the managers. Not very welcoming. The cold. Coldest Hotel I have ever had to stay in. Very slight bit of heat in the radiators but not enough for comfort. What's the point of having a heated towel rail that was never on in the 3 days we stayed. Just as well we had a blanket in the room. Quilt was lovely and warm, but cannot lie in bed all day !!Marshmallow mattress and rock hard pillows. Been beautiful in it's day but badly needs some attention - bit of paint and new carpets and furniture.

Food - excellent in the restaurant and also at breakfast Location - fantastic. In the centre of town near to train and bus stations Price - excellent value for money

Stayed here many times. Were given a ground floor room as requested as my husband due for hip replacement op. Nice continental breakfast which was plentiful. Dinner one night was lovely. Handy for shops etc.

Some staff need to smile more and remember who pays the bills. But there may have been reasons.

The location is excellent. I travelled by train so a station hotel is always a good option. This hotel did not disappoint and all of Inverness is available on foot with lots of facilities and shops nearby. The bed was especially comfortable and the bathroom a decent size. Most staff were very welcoming.

Our twin bedded room was very comfortable with a walk in shower and on the ground floor which was excellent for my husband with mobility problems. We enjoyed our continental breakfasts and an evening meal. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for being close to bus and train station plus so close to the shops. would happily stay here again. Both the bedroom and hotel was nice and warm. Loved the Titanic staircase and artwork.

The lady who was at reception wasn't the friendliest we were on a train trip so were staying in this hotel on Friday night and again on the Sunday night - she said I had not requested a double room or booked breakfast and just advised me to speak to booking.com, she had no plans to be of any help - as it turned out I realised that it was my error that I had not booked breakfast but she charged us an additional £30 odd for breakfast - a full Scottish breakfast which was mediocre for the price. On the Monday morning I had included breakfast but it was continental only - this was not evident from booking.com and neither was it clear that I needed to tell them I wanted a double not twins. The bedrooms were really poor, the light bulbs did not work in the lamps, the windows were draughty and desperately needing to be upgraded, just a fairly poor experience.

Television didn’t work and no maintenance person to fix it on a Saturday night thus at 8.20 on the Sunday morning a person using a key just walked into the room without knocking whilst we were still in bed. I did complain at reception and the answer I got was they thought we were at breakfast!!!! Don’t know how they came to that conclusion. Also the shower was awful hardly much water trickled out. We had actually been put in a disabled room which wasn’t the issue just things weren’t up to scratch.
