The room had black mould in the bathroom - sides of the bath, ceiling, dirty cushions on the beds, a old random sock next to the bed

Close to where we needed to be, nice welcome, TV good quality

Decor very tired, clear gap to the outside world between the window & the frame.

Bed was really comfy, plenty of parking, handy for Stoke on Trent & close to Alton Towers at a reasonable price.

Blood in the bathroom was not a good look, but it was easy enough to clean up myself. The room and hotel was generally tired but comfortable. The restaurant was a bit lairy. I was not keen on the food but it was cheap. A curry and a pint for 7 quid.

It looks like this was a very nice Hotel twenty years ago. It is still comfortable but somewhat tired. The room had a big telly and the room was warm. Staff were pleasant. The shower worked well but the enamel had been chipped off the bath in my room.

The wall is a bit thin and quite noisy from the car park.

Excellent location. Easy to find. McDonald opposite the hotel, Tesco on the other side so very convenient. The staff are amazing, very helpful and friendly. Room is a bit tired, can do with some update. But for the price you paid, can't complain too much. Great value for money in the restaurant and food was good too. Will stay again.

The food was substantial but poor quality. It was fast food really and spoilt an otherwise nice stay.

The hotel was comfortable and provided all facilities. It was too far from town but there was plenty of parking.

Rooms very much in need of attention we stayed in room 5, the bathroom floor felt like walking on a mattress as I believe had got very wet and I think was rotten, the door caught the floor as it had obvious swollen. Mould in bathroom and around windows.

Staff were lovely, food in restaurant was good.

The furniture in the room was very dark in colour and very shabby. Plastic skirting boards in the bathroom were separating from the wall. Bathroom clean but very dated. Couldn't get plug out of sink to empty it, so had to wash under bath tap next morning

Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Food was great and good value for money ie. reasonably priced

Didn't like the spider we found sat on one of the beds as we first walked in the room. Also want a fan of how thin the walls were so you could here everyone else in the hotel

Parking was good and rooms were fairly good. Water in the shower was nice and warm and the water pressure was good too. Good location for a hotel when visiting Alton Towers

Decor was a bit tired in places. No air-con in room. Some noise from room above, but was bearable.

Stayed here to be close to Alton Towers (about 20 min drive). Clean good-sized room with good facilities. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was powerful and hot. Great breakfast included with lots of choice and fresh options. Restaurant is great and very reasonably priced with big portion sizes and you can download an app which allows you to order food and drinks to your room at no extra cost.
