Sadly there was cobwebs on ceiling of my room. Being charged for parking car was a surprise. I have stayed at hotel many times and have never been charged for parking.

    Nice location, friendly staff

It’s a bit old. The access card for the room kept needing to be reset even though I kept it away from my phone. The central heating on some nights was too high and sometimes noisy, and you can only open the windows slightly for safety. The bathroom was too warm. Internet signal was a bit weak. It had a single lift which was not that big.

The hotel has a unique character & charm. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy, bathrooms were clean and well kitted with L’Occitaine products. Room had a fridge and glass bottled water, kettle with tea/coffee bags etc. The lunch at the restaurant was ok. Staff were friendly. There is a nice park for walks right behind the hotel, and it’s a 25 minute walk to Wimbledon station.

The bed frame was too short for my height 5’10” so I had to sleep sideways

A fast charger for EVs. The village ones are not convenient and require membership.

The location is very familiar to me as I lived close bye for many years. The fact that I knew my car was safe. The confirmation and the offer of an upgrade.

The bath was quite deep and stepping in for a shower could be problematic for someone with reduced mobility. The menu choice seemed somewhat limited.

The hotel was in a nice quiet location yet still within reasonable walking distance of the station if you don't have too much luggage. The view across the common was very pleasant. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was not crowded and there were no queues for the breakfast buffet.

The room I had was at the front of the hotel and that can get quite noisy on a Friday/Saturday night when guests are leaving private functions/the restaurant/bar in taxis.

This was the second time I stayed here despite my first stay being less than adequate and I must say that I’m glad I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. My room was beautiful with views over Wimbledon Common and the room was clean. Staff, just like last time, were wonderful. They were friendly and helpful - to top it off, the lady on reception recognised me after my first stay which is always a plus when you revisit a hotel because it adds that personal touch and makes you feel that the staff really care and pay attention to guests. I would definitely recommend staying here, close to all amenities (short walk) and a very relaxing location.

Room too hot, could not alter temperature/broken thermometer Bed had a hole in 1 side, needs sorting Hotel could trust guests so that windows open a little more than they do Rain shower needs fixing, sprays over shower enclosure Tea and coffee in a cupboard! very odd! Explained to reception, told "oh dear" Tried to charge us £138.00 more than we signed for! Car park notification says £12.00 per night, tried to charge us £36.00!

A loo that didn’t flush properly, and while the dining staff were lovely, service was glacially slow. I didn’t like being notified late the night before my stay of a noisy event ( and long planned event) being hosted and hence dining room not available.

Beautiful setting and absolutely sparkling clean everywhere- it is a bit tired in places but it almost adds to its charm.

The only inconvenience was the wedding fare held on the Sunday which meant the restaurant was out of action and there were a lot of people in connection with the event.

The suite was really comfortable with amazing views of the gardens. The Orangery is the perfect place for a leisurely lunch.

The only adverse comment was a delay in breakfast actually being served (after it had been ordered). Only one chef in public view to handle so many covers - very curious

I arrived a bit early and was upgraded to a premium double at no extra cost. The room was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly which is a bonus these days ! It’s location is also prime
