United KingdomBecause of its close proximity to the airport (the hotel is right next to the runway) it gets noisy in the early morning (however, this didn't bother me too much as I had to get up early anyways).
Spacious, clean room perfect for staying one night before departing from Terminal 5. The hotel is easy to reach by bus from the airport terminal.

United KingdomPut a hold on my card, even though it’s a debit card - booking said payment would be taken at check-in , which it was, I had to present my card even though it was against the booking. I’ve no problem with that but looks as if ‘hold’ on my card is going to go for the full 30 days.

United KingdomAlthough there was squeezy hand soap/shampoo in a bottle screwed to the wall. It would have been useful if there was an additional bar of soap on the side to have a bath with. Couldn't reach the bottled soap from sitting position in the bath. Parking was a bit pricey at £15..when in fact you've paid for a room for the night! I also ordered a Taxi the night before..it didn't show up.
Great big comfy bed with pristine bedding. Fabulous view of the planes taking off from the runway! Useful extras like Irin/ironing board & hairdryer.

United KingdomSo the bed did'nt meet my expectations it was more like a quarter of a double bed. The room was cold and the air con kept blowing cold air even when i turned up the temperature to 25... They maintenace work going on really looked bad there was no where to sit in the lounge
I liked the friendliness of the staff, the shower was v clean and hot good pressure. I was glad to find all the facilities i.e hairdryer, iron ( this was so important as i had come for B A assesment day ) . The breakfast was delicious and hot and lots of it.

United KingdomOn my second stay, the bathroom was quite a bit smaller than the bathroom in the first room, and nowhere to hang a towel. I also found a tear in my duvet cover on the second stay.
The location to Heathrow terminal 5 is excellent for your onwards flights. I stayed here twice once before my outward flight and again on my return. The bar and restaurants are spacious and fairly priced for a hotel bar. I also loved being able to sit and watch the planes take off from the bar/restaurant area. The staff were helpful and friendly, which is always great. There is also lots of selection at breakfast of both hot and cold food foods and a selection of beverages. I also want to add that the room air con is excellent in the rooms, its a bug bear of mine that hotel rooms air con is usually terrible and the rooms tend to be too hot, but this is not the case at the Thistle. The pods too and from the terminal are great and allow easy access back to London via the tube and train. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would absolutely stay here again when flying from Terminal 5.

New ZealandExpensive bar and restaurant. Convenient pod transportation over priced - should be baked into the room price. A taxi would be cheaper. No elevators and access to rooms require dragging your bags up and down stairs negotiating the great British fire door maze.
Very convenient access to Terminal 5 via the ever more expensive pods. Room had good tea service.
