Maintenance team couldn't make the ac work properly but atleast they were on call, trying and reception sent me a fan promptly.

Eventhough my ac wasn't working properly for all 4 nights, we had a good stay. Good bfast, good service and over all good experience. Amazing location.

Very few Lifts for the # of rooms, we were on the 2nd floor and used the stairs. One particular lady at the Lounge was a bit rude, but other members were awesome and helpful.

In general, a nice & clean hotel at a great location. We had access to the Executive Lounge and Breakfast and snacks thereafter were tasty. Tea-Coffee machines & Minibar were refilled daily. Wifi was great in the room too.

    The entrance and reception.

The location was excellent, I will stay again for this reason, however the entrance and reception were not great, certainly did not feel like a 4 star hotel, more like a hostel. I could not fault the room, staff or location though which is more important. I did however not get a good first impression from the entrance and reception.

Wouldn’t say I didn’t like it but was very busy. A very touristy hotel. Didn’t bother me but something to note if that would bother you.

There are 2 lifts which in my opinion is ridiculous for the size of the hotel. And there is the use of an escalator to reach the 1st floor where you check in yet only stairs to use in coming down the stairs so ideally not suitable for people who have trouble with steps

Location was great for shops and transport links

Lift were being refurbished. On arrival the hotel had notices explaining this & apologising for any inconvenience. Fair enough. However only 2 small lifts, waits were long and you had to travel ‘up’ to go back down to lobby, the lifts were packed from other floors on decent. We decided to take the stairs, we were on the 4th floor, got to 2nd floor there was a gate blocking stairs access any further? We exited on 2nd, sign said this way for stairs to lobby & were led on a labyrinth around the 2nd floor. Found stairwell, only to go 1 flight down & met with gates again? Another tour of the 1st floor to find stairwell that finally led to lobby. It would have been quicker to wait the 10 mins for a chance a the lifts! Appreciate hotel refurbishing, but lifts & stairs were chaos. Finally breakfast was very disappointing, no non diary option, croissants stale, queue for hot drinks machine. Food area was too small for number of people staying.

All staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaners all said good morning & with a smile that felt genuine. The restaurant staff were all very helpful. Location is fantastic, Bond St, Regent Street, Marble etc all within walking distance.

We found a white hair in one of the glasses for water in the cabinet with the kettle. And the elevators were a bit inconvenient (only two in service) but that's expected with the renovations going in. But I don't think I saw this mentioned on the thistle website or booking.

The location of the hotel andthat the staff changed our room because it was noisy really fast and with no fuss. Both our rooms, the noisy one and the quiet one were huge as well, which was one of the reasons I chose the thistle other than the location.

Tv was rubbish. Couldn’t get any of the apps to work and it crashed twice. Wasn’t a fan of drinking coffee from a paper cup either

Breakfast was ok. No bad, not exceptional. The Food was good, but it was soooo busy. But, the Room was lovely and quiet.

The problem was the lift.Took approximately 10 minutes to raach the ground floor.Lift was always full.If you get new lifts, will stay again. Also would be practicle to explain to your 'guests' where the water kettle can be found. How the telephone works. My phone worked but had nbo light.

The people cleaning the rooms were very efficient and meticulous.Great staff.

Room was a really long way from the lifts, anyone with mobility issues would struggle. The lift situation is unacceptable, only 2 small lifts and we were on the 7th floor so walking wasn’t an option with luggage. We waited 10 mins to squeeze into a lift on check out. Room was noisy with window open.

Room was clean, small but ok. Location was good.

I would rate the hotel only 3 stars. Rooms were nice but the breakfast was too crowded and honestly the coffee served in the tables wasn’t good. When we stayed in March 2024, there was a problem with elevators. We had to wait and wait as there was not enough elevators to serve the nbr of guests. The staff could have marked the stairs better, it was not easy to find the stairways and to navigate from lobby to room using stairs.

Breakfast was quite crowded. Coffee was really bad. One had to request vegan milk separately, it was not offered in the buffet. The rooms were spacious, quiet and nice, bathroom clean, hot water in the shower. Bed had a bit hard mattress. Location was excellent! We walked through Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace and on. Easy connection to Elizabeth line (Heathrow). Many buses and subway close. Shopping at Oxford Street. Location 9/10.
