Climbing the retractable loft ladder which I found difficult and quite dangerous so I elected to sleep on the sofa bed

Arrived to find no heating, the place was freezing, contacted the vender and managed to get it working, but it took over 6hours to warm up then it went the other way and it was stifling, no control

Beds were not very comfortable. We could not get a fire place working, although this was one of the reasons for booking this property. We had a very unpleasant landlady visit due to having a cigarette outside. If you are smoker or thinking of having any sort of fire/barbecue, this place would not allow you to do so.

Nice little cottage. Lovely, peaceful location although a bit limited to explore and go for a walks unless you drive further away. It was great to have a dishwasher and a washing machine particularly if you are staying longer. Loved the welcome pack of some key food and drinks items from the owners.

Couldn’t open the bathroom window - not sure if this was purposely inhibited? Bed was not that comfortable.

It is a remote location, so after a while the trip from Elgol to the main road and the rest of Skye did become a pain. All single track roads (with plenty of passing point) but lots of sheep and cows that would cross the road in front of you, so you had to keep your wits about you. The scenery was beautiful so helped to make up for it. The heating was slow to either warm up or cool down, so do plan ahead.

Quirky, something different and a complete surprise inside compared to outside. Really modern inside, well equipped with everything you needed. A lovely welcome parcel with wine, bread, eggs, butter and milk. EV charging point, which was a bonus. Second bedroom in the loft space made a great hideaway for my daughter.

It was very warm given the current weather even when the heating system was turned off. It would have been beneficial a few fans dotted around the cottage in particular the attic.

The location was great for travel around Skye. The cottage looked authentic and all amenities were available

TV signal wasn't great at first (understandable) but got better after I cleared some vegetation in front of the satellite dish!

Remote location (which is what we were looking for) but part of a wider hamlet. Extremely well appointed cottage with little things (such as a 4 way extension) coming in handy! Good shower and sizable bathroom and superb king size memory foam bed. The Bluetooth speaker came in handy as did the picnic bench outside. WiFi was a lifesaver for planning the next day !

It was cold, but otherwise it was a lovely stay.

Practically everything was a 10, the facilities were great, the response from staff was great, the location was beautiful. We had issues with the heating but the property provided portable units which kept us above cold. When contacting the property owners, they arranged for a plumber (same day) but due to covid he wasn't able to come out. But... That's not their fault and we were just unlucky.
