Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandWe spend some time to find the apartment. I suggest to put some information plate at least on the wicked.
Perfect localisation for trips to the historical places: Stirling, Wallace Monument, Doune Castle, Campbell Castle and others. It is also the best place if you plan to climb the Hills like: Ben Cleuch or Kings Seat Hill. Pubs and shops avilable in walking distance. We loved it and want to come again!

United KingdomParking was on the street and restricted parking directly outside. Parking was always available though. Couple of bits were broken, although it didn't affect our stay. One of the beds was exceptionally soft, so slept on the sofa bed, but this is personal choice.
Location was excellent, short walk into the village with a good sized co-op. Less than a mile from the Retail Outlet Village. It was described as an apartment but actually was a house, so that exceeded our expectation.

United KingdomWe couldn’t find the property in the dark. The sesnor light didn’t light up when travelling up the road so we had to search on foot. It would be useful to mention that you had to walk down the side of the school entrance to access the property. A pair of oven gloves would be appreciated as there was only one tea towel so we didn’t want to risk damaging it or us by using that.
The property was very comfortable and despite being next to a school was quiet. The shower was amazing and the beds were really comfy so we all slept really well.

United KingdomThe kitchen is a great size and well stocked with cups, crockery and cutlery but lacked any large pans, frying pan and baking trays if cooking for a family. We had to buy extra. The bathroom is beautiful, with a fabulous shower but no bath so trickier if wanting to bath young children. There is street parking close to the property but due to it's positioning overlooking the school, you cannot see the cars from the house. However, we had no issues whilst there.
Lovely bright clean and spacious home, beautiful views of the hills and a good location close to Sterling Mills and a great base for exploring surrounding attractions. The house overlooks a primary school playground, and there is a play park just a 5 min walk away which is useful for young children. The 2 bed rooms are spacious and the sofa bed was easy to use. Our party included 3 adults and 2 under 5's, staying for 5 nights and this was a much better option for us than booking a hotel. We were visiting family nearby, really enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe cooker in the kitchen could do with an extractor hood as at present you need to keep the back door open if you are frying anything or the smoke alarm goes off. This is not exactly great in the cold weather.

United KingdomA few extra amenities in the kitchen would have been beneficial for example tin foil and a frying pan, as it is self catering and a bit more cleanliness as there was a squashed moth on the bedroom wall and cigarette butts left outside in the garden. Didn’t really understand where the car parking space was so we parked on the street lay by
Very nice property, quiet location, lots of space, more than we were expecting as it is listed as an apartment and it is a 2 bed semi detached house. The garden is a lovely space. Quite basic decor but bathroom is nicely refurbished with good shower

United KingdomThe gardens were overgrown and unsightly which would have made it extremely difficult to enjoy the outside. The wheelie bin was full of loose garbage, which stank. some other folks mentioned the rubber sheet on the bed in their reviews and I have to say, I agree, it makes you sweat really badly and causes you to keep waking up either too hot and soaking or too cold and soaking or both. lastly, an instruction booklet on how to operate the heating and appliances would be good. I spent the first night very cold in the entire apartment until I met the rubber sheet.
for the price, the property is great and would be an excellent base during a holiday in the area. I, unfortunately, was working crazy long hours whilst staying there so literally was showering and sleeping there and nothing else.
