How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed was very comfortable though for me it was a little too low down, getting out of bed was an interesting experience as I have vertigo and it took several attempts once the room stopped spinning. Not really their fault, more, my problem.
Tremendous location, easy to find and great parking just opposite. The Pauls were very attentive without being intrusive and their house is an eclectic mix of all styles. Breakfast was enjoyable and it seemed that nothing would have been too much trouble if I had asked for it.

All good.
Friendly, helpful hosts, who were knowledgeable about the local area and provided maps/guides. Large, comfortable room with good bed, and team making facilities and excellent breakfast. Good location, with restaurants and shops in walking distance, but equally country walks from the B&B. Easy to travel to Norwich and the coast if wished

Both hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding and sourced locally. The location was great and only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. We couldn’t recommend the place more highly.

We have had a very enjoyable stay, the property is lovely and very quirky. Location is excellent with easy parking and plenty of pubs and restaurants. Both Paul's made us feel very welcome in their home ,their friendliness along with their communication was very good. The room was very warm, large and comfortable, the bed was a good size and also comfortable . Breakfast was one of the best, good quality food and nothing was too much trouble . We look forward to returning next year.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
Great location, a few minutes walk into the town centre. Spacious and peaceful. Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was superb, using local ingredients and very professionally cooked. We will definitely be back. Hosts were very welcoming and did everything to make our stay memorable.

The hosts were excellent and friendly and everything you needed was provided. Breakfast was excellent and questions asked what you would like the next day. Everything you needed in the room was provided including fresh milk. Couldn't fault it.

A beautiful home, with beautiful rooms, both Paul's were excellent hosts and made us very welcome on arrival, they looked after us very well and made sure we had everything to enjoy our stay. breakfast is top quality and cooked to an exceptional high standard. The best B&B I have stayed in.
