I cannot think of a thing that I didn’t like.

Everything. The village the property is in is beautiful. The accommodation itself was peaceful, beautiful and well equipped and our host was amazing, offering suggestions for activities, meals, transport etc which was really appreciated. She also left breakfast. Cakes and hot drink which was very kind. A thoroughly wonderful stay 😊

Great host, really welcoming. Will definitely return again as it’s a perfect location close to york. Lodge facilities were perfect, log burner, outdoor BBQ/fire pit and modern interior. Hope to return.

The bed was quite hard/uncomfortable, however it is always difficult to sleep in a different bed to the one at home. The toilet seat also kept coming off.

Such a beautiful and cosy cabin. The decor was stunning. We were also given a cake, fresh bread, hot cross buns, jam and butter, as well as milk and cereal, which was very much enjoyed. The host Karen and her son were so welcoming and polite! Karen even went the extra mile to make the sign, add rose petals and even wrote us a card for our 10 year anniversary ❤️ It was so special and really appreciated.

Nothing to dislike.

House was gorgeous and cosy, lovely greeting on the wall as you walk in from Karen. Great communication. . Parking at the front. Lovely quiet location so no disturbances. Lots of games to play and TVs in every room. Beds were super comfy and soft. We were left bread, jam, marmalade, milk, butter and some frozen croissants. Had a dishwasher, oven. Toaster etc. Great stay would highly recommend.

The location was brilliant.🤩 The shed was cosy and provided all the facilities we needed. The garden was so beautiful which pleased our dog. Karen the host was so lovely and helpful and recommended a lot of good places for us to visit.

Amazing little place, so clean, host was really informative and friendly. Would be lovely in the summer! Only around 20 mins from the shambles perfect if you drive and out of the centre of York. Will definitely be going back ☺️

Its location was really nice and quaint and quiet. The property was lovely and cosy. And Karen the host was welcoming and accommodating and very lovely. The food she supplied us really helped when we first got there. The visits from her dogs were a lovely surprise. It just felt like home.

Exceptionally cosy little place to stay for a couple who are looking to visit places like York ,Malton Castle Howard and many others . Easy place to find with great parking area. Clean ,beautifully decorated and great wifi and bonus of being able to watch Netflix etc Karen the owner is a lovely lady very helpful and would like to thank her for my lovely birthday treat 😊

Nothing not to like ...perfection

Beautiful place and Karen was super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, she had even put the kettle on when she knew we had arrived and left us a little cake to have with our cup of tea, massive attention to detail in the "garden shed" it was so pretty and super cosy and romantic especially when you light the burner, sat in their beautiful grounds which are so immaculately maintained right near everything too ...york, vanguard shopping outlet, Mcarther Glen designer outlet all within 10 or 15 mins drive, we had such a great weekend would definitely use again thankyou Karen 😀 😊 xx

There isn't really a breakfast included- it's a small collection of basics which are provided from which it's possible to make a basic breakfast. No ground coffee, only instant. There could be just a few more utensils in the kitchen- in particular a wooden spoon or spatula and a couple of egg cups and maybe a couple of larger mugs. It wasn't the end of the world, they just would have been nice to have. There were no packs for starting the wood stove in the little honesty shop. I could have asked the host but didn't want to bother them.

The location, tucked away at the end of the owner's garden, was perfect. Quiet and self-contained, with a large garden in which to exercise my dog. It was really easy to find the property and it was warm and well lit when we arrived. The host, Karen, was lovely although I didn't get to meet her until the following morning after arrival.
