Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe parking was a little inconvenient with us having baby with us, but still close by, only opposite the road. The Internet and TV signal were not great at times, dropping out, but good overall
Lovely place, lots of space, very comfy and very convenient for us. Friendly hosts easy and reliable to contact.

United KingdomThis is the second time we've stayed here, its clean and nicely decorated, but the bathroom has no lock so we had to ask if anyone using each time, also the bath sealant and non slip mat have black mold which is off putting.
As above it is clean and well equipped and was great for 2 friends staying for the weekend.

United KingdomMy only issue was my own lack of preparation. Because I am from such a busy town I didn't even think about lack of take aways etc and most of us were in pj's and had a drink by the time it came to thinking about food. However, the booklet left had loads of take aways in and we managed to find one and had 1 sober party driving which was lucky. Would recommend others to be prepared unlike me 😂. Also, back garden is huge and not private. Not a issue for us other than worrying about the dogs. Other than that not a complaint.
The home is absolutely beautiful. Felt like a home from home and no issues relaxing. Communication was excellent and it was so clean. Not noisy from road at all and the beds and sofas were SOOOO comfortable! Slept brilliantly. Location was fine for us but if you want somewhere a bit more bustling might not be right for you. Only 10 minutes walk into a little village and a pub directly across the road. Property has WiFi, bedding and towels which were all high standard. Also had a full kitchen and cleaning products to use which was a huge help. The shower was so relaxing could have spent all day in there 😂. We stayed 3 nights and on day 1 just relaxed and caught up, explored the local village a little bit which was lovely, day 2 we did brecon beacons hike which was a short drive and beautiful! Then day 3 we drove into Swansea (about 40 minutes drive) which was great but would be even better if you had kids as there was a huge shopping centre, ninja warrior, wall climbing etc right in the centre with lots of restaurants, bars/night life and shops. I would recommend it highly, I get nervous about these types of accommodations but it was fantastic.

New ZealandThere were candles around but no matches. I can understand no matches but the candles were so inviting, I wanted to light them.
The spaciousness, the quietness even though next to a road and opposite a pub. The facilities were excellent. The standard of furnishing and decoration was very good. Very comfortable beds.

United KingdomThe back gate did not shut properly, so the garden was not secure for our dogs. No parking for the car, even though the advert states car parking. You have to use the pub car park opposite the house, which the pub owners are not to keen with.
it was very quiet and clean

United KingdomI liked everything, the stat was brilliant so thank you all. One point worth mentioning is that recycling instructions were limited , the recycling bottles , plastics etc store out the back needed taking or putting out for collection , we never knew or apparently others didn’t when those collections were. That would be useful and the only , only thing that could be criticised at all. Well done everyone!
The perfect location fir Walking the Heart of Wales Trail. Opposite a near perfect pub, across a lovely valley and grade 2 listed bridge made a walk into Town a real pleasure.

United KingdomWith window open in heat, passing car noise early morning in front bedroom. If window shut noise not a problem. Not keen on blinds in bedrooms, doesn’t shut out the light like curtains do. Could do with corkscrew in kitchen, and large and small sharp knives. Only knives were general cutlery which were flimsy.
Very clean property, nice decor, comfortable beds, pretty well equipped. Fans supplied (we stayed during heatwave). Off road parking across the road. Good facilities. Value for money. Would stay again.

Towy snug was fab with everything you could need for a relaxing time away. My dog loved the enclosed garden for a run around while we sat outside enjoying a quiet glass of wine in the evenings. Great location close to local amenities. Ideal for dog walkers with many lovely walks close by. Would definitely recommend Dewi Roberts butchers for your full Welsh breakfast ingredients. Many lovely shops across the bridge in Llandeilo. Great bakery in the old post office building at the top end of town. We would definitely stay again.
