The noise coming from outside but that's what you would expect in a town like Tredegar. A pair of earplugs works miracles, especially in combination with a couple of pints.

Every single bit of it including the food and the drinks and the beds and the location but especially the way Michelle (who is by far one of the best hostesses we ever met) treats hotel guests. She makes you feel you are the one and only most dearest guest they've been expecting to arrive on a blessed day. Absolutely delightful in all ways. Felt really sorry we had to move on.

Had a problem sorting out heating as room was s cold ,managed to sort in the end ,room lovely and warm after . Did worry about noise from the street and bar when first went in but had no problem .

ROOM WAS CLEAN AND LOTS OF TEA COFFEE ETC TO Make E YOUR OWN DRINKS PLUS BISCUITS . Bathroom had good shower , room was ideal for my one night stay . Easy to find ,parked in car park down the road . Easy for walking around area and discovering the history . Whiling away the time in rain while granddaughter was at a scouting weekend .

Disappointed that Sunday dinner was not made available for us when we arrived after a 5 hour journey, despite there being several empty tables and we arrived at 2.45pm ( Dinner was served until 4pm) Also if you have a room at the front of the hotel the clock on the roundabout chimes repeatedly every hour throughout the night loudly!!

There wasn't anything I didn't like - it was great!

Everything! Our room was fabulous, the bed was very comfortable and the en-suite bathroom was lovely with a really good selection of toiletries. Great choice of tea, coffee etc in the room and even oat milk. I'm lactose intolerant so having a different type of milk already there was a nice touch. We stayed for two nights and breakfast on both mornings was delicious and very well presented. A sheet with a list of breakfast options was left in our room to be completed and left outside the door by 10pm and you could choose what time you preferred in half hour intervals. I've seen other reviews that have complained about the length of time it takes for breakfast to be served but have to say that ours was served within a reasonable time after being seated and everything was freshly cooked. There was also cereal and toast, tea, coffee and juice - the breakfasts kept us going all day. We also had one evening meal in the restaurant - we didn't book in advance, there were other people already there and a large party was also due in but this was no problem for the staff. Again the food was delicious, fresh and served promptly. Finally, I can't say enough about the staff, they were all very helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back one day. Keep up the good work everyone and thank you to you all.

Lift only to 1 floor so carrying suit case upstairs was difficult. Clock tower rings on the hour.
