Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Met all our expectations, good base to stay from to explore London. Easy walk to multiple public transport options and some good restaurants in the neighborhood. Hotel cleanliness was great!

United KingdomBreakfast was a little frustrating and not very relaxing. Not enough plates or glasses. Spent breakfast hunting round for items before we could eat or drink. Coffee machine had either run out of milk or wasn't working. Room was smaller than expected.
Staff were friendly . Beds were very comfortable. Great location in a lovely area of London I've not explored before.

United KingdomSadly the breakfast was disorganised and fell short of what we had expected despite arriving relatively early at 9 am. There was nobody there to meet and greet so we sat down. Firstly the coffee machine was broken and there was nobody around to ask how to get coffee. I eventually had coffee about 20 minutes after I sat down. Cereal choices were restricted to cornflakes, chocolate puffs or chocolate cornflakes - granola or muesli is usually a choice. There was no milk for the cereal apart from oat milk. The bacon was streaky (fatty) and the scrambled egg was so dried out - it was inedible. The only bread available for toast was sliced as the fresh crusty loaf was finished. These may seem like small issues, but in combination was sufficient to somewhat disappoint and affected our stay.
The bedding was incredibly comfortable and the bedroom spotless.

United StatesAccess by taxi & Uber were challenging. Taxis, which I like taking in London, were not able to be hailed outside the hotel. Most drivers seemed unfamiliar with the area and ongoing construction meant that sometimes we were dropped off a block or two away. As someone with mobility issues, this was frustrating. Public transit is plentiful but one must walk 10 minutes or so to access it and for myself this was difficult.
The hotel was very modern, clean and well appointed.

Stood at bar waiting to be served to then be told when they got to us we are shut, we said but we are staying & have been stood here clearly in front of you waiting so why ? She said ok you can have beer or wine , neither of which I drink men had beer I went without! Went to night bar where man had h&s in a tin had one of them & asked member of staff there for a glass , yep over there - really !
Clean, very new looking , location. On arrival was made to feel really welcome , our room was lovely looking over canary wharf superb.
