Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAlthough some previous negative review issues had been addressed, there were still some which had not. There is still an iron burn on the (worn) carpet; There are holes in the wall which appear to be for a missing shelf; the shower base has been re-grouted, but there are still lines of grimy grout on the shower tiles. The toilet seat is still loose. On arrival, I found that there was no towel, reception was unable to provide one. I later discovered (after reception closed) that there was no tea spoon. There were tea/coffee making supplies, but I had to rinse the cup first which was either dirty, or badly water stained. At one point, I dropped something on the floor and while searching for it, moved a small chest of drawers and found some litter underneath it. The blinds weren't working, so I had no natural light in the room for the 2 days I was there. The place seemed to have a lot of potential, but is in a state of neglect with poor housekeeping. Having said all that, I did sleep well.
Location was great, close to public transport. Car park was also good. Bed was comfortable.

United KingdomNoisy all day and all through the night. Continuous racket from other guests next door. Reception staff unable or unwilling to provide a quieter room or otherwise address the problem and repeated emails to Trivelles management to raise this issue have been ignored. Would not stay at this hotel again, had hardly any sleep over three nights and was unwell on returning home as a result !
Well located for travel, next to Weaste Tram Stop. Otherwise nothing positive about this hotel.

United KingdomWhole place smelled of cannabis. No soap in bathroom. Room very small, no bedside table, no light bulb in light. Kettle based on top of the microwave - not exactly safe? Dirty window. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable, only 1 pillow available. Was noisy throughout. Glad it was only one night I stayed
Bed sheets were at least clean.

United KingdomI wouldn't say I disliked anything. There is clear wear and tear on the property. The room was basic and not many amenities. But these issues can be sorted over time. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would go again.
The staff were very helpful. The location was great and its good value for money.

United KingdomAddress given as Eccles. In fact it is in Weaste, right next to Weaste Metro station, so took me a long time to find. When I got there, (7.30pm) I had to shout through the letterbox of locked front door to contact reception and was told to come round the back. In the room, the TV was broken and the double bed only had a single douvet inside the double douvet cover!! Metro line was right outside my windows, so I had a regular loud rumbling noise until midnight and from 6.00am.
Car park provided Room a good size (a family room for just me!) clean sheets en suite satisfactory

United KingdomThey foned and asked me to pay cash when I get there during the day and again when I arrived but I'd already paid on my card. The room was pretty shocking for the price dirty marks and spillages on the walls the sheets on bed had stains on them and it looked like someone had been lying on the bed no soap in bathroom 1 towel no breakfast for £65 shocking really. Nice lads on reception but spoke limited English so hard to communicate. If the room was £30-£40 I wudnt really complain but £65!!!
The staff were friendly enough and location good to get about

United KingdomThe building looked almost derelict from the outside with the hotel names half covered over in black plastic & the front door not in use. I nearly went away thinking the hotel was closed! Expecting it to be a hotel this appears to be used as a hostel and at the time i stayed, some residents who were frequently sat outside in the car park chatting, were the ones who helped guide me on how to get in. I walked through the open side door, along a couple of small corridors to find a reception desk, where there was someone to help. I had a single bed comfortable enough in a very small room, adequate because i was just there to sleep the nights i stayed.
The location was very handy to reach the venue i had come to attend. It was relatively cheap & clean. Felt secure with the key card and i wasn’t disturbed. Staff helpful if you needed them. On site parking was very helpful.

The location is very poor, the building doesn't appear to be what it is online. Its outside appearance is very dirty including the inside, lots of dust everywhere. The toilet walls were filthy and the toilet seat was broken. It smelt of wee. The noise from the trams is very disturbing at night and the fan didn't work and everything was just disty.

IrelandClosing the place down is the best thing you can do, this place being allowed on booking.com is genuinely a disgrace, we first arrived to the accommodation to find the police bursting through the door after 5 minutes to arrest someone and asked by the police why we were staying here as it, this place is used as a homeless hostel and for drug users and both nights people in other rooms were roaming the halls screaming at the top of their voices aggressively threatening everyone in the location, my room for example the door was not even fitted to the frame correctly so there was constantly a draft entering making the room unbearably cold, There were holes in the walls of both rooms clearly caused by previous attendees and constant fighting in the location in other rooms. The staff at the place were honestly no help, when asking for a towel to take a shower they had told us that there were none and I was offered a towel off the floor that the guy had found, There was a genuine fear that myself and my friends were going to be attacked for not being usual stayers as said before it was used as accommodation for homeless people and both nights our rooms were given abuse from the neighbouring rooms, when this was raised with the staff on the second day the man at reception had no English and only said the words “police” I have never seen anything like this place it should not have been advertised as a place to stay, the police informing tourists that they should not be staying there is proof enough, Get rid of this place and give me back my money.
Worst place I have ever been too in my entire life,

United KingdomThe room did not look as advertised. there was a hole that had been punched into the wall, an iron burn in the carpet, the walls were dirty and stained, the mirror was smashed and held together with tape. the furniture was falling apart. I was given no towels and ended up purchasing my own. I was told to ensure I was quiet as there were a family in the room next to me, this wasn’t true as I then had to spend 4 hours the next night listening to couples screaming at each other that they had, and I quote “smoked too much spice, I told you stop smoking that now”. I was honestly in fear to leave my room as they were screaming at each other in the hallways and they were not told to be quiet or leave, this happened multiple nights of my stay. this wasn’t helped by the fact reception shuts at 10pm and there is nobody in the hotel to assist you.
Nothing.

United KingdomThe Guesthouse looks rundown on the outside. Some of the furniture were fallen apart. The location by the tram station posed difficulty in sleeping and when I finally drifted off, the couple next door started fighting unto the corridors. Highly chaotic! No refund rather, i was offered no a free night in the future on a quieter Floor and Manager stated that most of his guests are placed their by the Council's Homelessness Unit. It is not value for money nor for anyone on a Work trip - no desk and noisy.
I accorded flexibility despite arriving after the Reception was closed. Room was reasonably clean.
