Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing whatsoever.
As in my previous reviews of this fantastic property, I cannot find any faults whatsoever. It is always immaculately clean and has everything that you require for a self catering break in Leicester................even including some interesting reading material and family board games. The fresh milk and snacks that are left for you on your arrival are a wonderful welcoming touch and immediately make you feel at home.

As this is the 5th. occasion that I have stayed at Tudor House, I think that it is quite clear that I rate the property very highly indeed. It's always spotlessly clean and the décor gives it a warm and homely feel and on this occasion the festive tree and decorations were a wonderful touch. There is always plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils available as well as condiments and cooking oil. There is a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and sugar as well as cleaning products and materials. The bathroom has recently been very tastefully refurbished and fitted with a great new shower and shower cubicle. Also the kitchen has been reconfigured with the sink being moved to give more surface space for food preparation. All in all, I cannot fault this wonderful property and the very, very reasonable price is an added bonus.............I have actually already booked in for my next visit to Leicester at the end of this month.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing.........it's perfect.
This was the third occasion that I have stayed at Tudor House - and if it had been available, it would have been more. The property is ideally located being very close to the city centre, a large supermarket, the scenic mile straight, Castle Gardens, the Guildhall and Richard III visitors centre. It is spotlessly clean, has a warm homely feel and is well stocked with cleaning products, condiments and bathroom products. There is a lovely decked seating area at the rear of the property which is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. There are plenty of electrical sockets and mirrors - which is often an issue at other properties that I have stayed. Finally, the fresh milk and snack bars that are supplied are an wonderful welcoming touch.

United KingdomFloors in the house are up and down could be a problem if you have mobility issues. Outside garden area and the decking to us was dangerous and the garden area was totally overgrown with a bent and battered table the owners should think about spending some time and probably a few hundred pounds to put this right and it would be a vast improvement. The shower over the bath was fiddly to get temperature correct and shower curtain was a laugh. Going out on a night would be scary to some people with large groups congregating mainly outside the shops and on some street corners women on their own my find this of putting but this is an inner city street with a multi cultural society and it happens. Black felt tip rough writing on rear of front door telling you how not to close door!! Make a decent sign or strengthen the door.
The place was spotless inside with great space and a seperate dining room the house was a 10 minutes walk into the city centre but that means your in a city area living within a multi cultural society and very busy. polish shops very close that sold most items and a local Chinese takeaway over the road on street parking that was quite full but once parked we didn't move so wasn't a problem for us. City centre is a shopaholics dream a day spent there and we didn't see it all. Restaurants there are many different ones all different cultures loved it and we will return.

GermanyCould be a little loud but what do you really expect when there is a University around the corner and people enjoying themselves 😂
I was born in Leicester and wasn't really expecting alot from the area or what I had booked, I couldn't have been more wrong,on arrival and opening the door to fresh flowers and a very clean house there was everything there you needed from fresh milk in the fridge and coffee, honestly it was all there and the owner was very helpful. I thought parking was going to be a problem which really wasn't that bad at all.

United KingdomThe shower temperature control is tricky to balance.
Easy walking access into town. Well equipt for cooking, cleaning, and entertainment (TV, Books, Boards games). The host was a great communicator, dropped off fresh sheets and towels as were staying for a long duration, and upon arrival greeted by welcome gifts of milk and biscuits.

I normally stay in self catering apartments when I visit Leicester and I can honestly say that Tudor House is by far the best I have used. Not only was it clean and homely, but there was a plentiful supply of toilet requisites, cleaning products, kitchenware, tea, coffee, sugar and even oil and condiments for cooking. Also, a lovely personal touch was to leave a fresh pint of milk and a pack of festive mince pies. I would most definitely recommend Tudor House to anyone visiting Leicester.

United KingdomI would suggest getting curtains for the bedrooms, the blinds do not block any light and so you are awake when the sun rises.
Lovley place, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Nice touch leaving us milk, drinks and snacks, especially thanks for the painkillers that were very much needed on New years day haha.

GermanyI wish I had known about what kind of street the house was on, as we had never been to Leicester before. It is a very rough area. Noisy throughout the nights and a constant wiff of weed in the air. It all made us (two women travelling alone) rather uncomfortable. Beds and sofas were a bit worn out, and the beds were quite squeaky. On the upper floor, there was a third bedroom used as storage. The door wouldn't shut because of the carpet, and there's a damp smell emitting from it. It had a bit of an uncomfortable vibe, to be honest.
Lots of personal details, milk in the fridge on arrival, and biscuits in the kitchen, flowers in the living room. Very lovely! The house was clean. Loved the new bathroom and the washing machine. Very spacious. When contacting us, the owner was always very polite and pleasant. The city centre is very close, about a 15 minute walk.
