Everything! The breakfast was particularly notable. I'm difficult to get a 10 out of 10 out of but this place came very close.

The food was nice enough but I judge a restaurant by its chips and they were disappointing. But that is the only thing I can fault

Little bit isolated in terms of location

Beautiful building. Decorated perfectly. Beautiful location. Amazed by the animals who also live there! Food was outstanding. Wine quality superb. Even the toiletries on offer were a treat.

I don’t often leave reviews but just wanted to say that I loved everything about my stay here! The rooms were comfortable and pretty with lots of thoughtful touches, the location was beautiful, the food in the restaurant was great. The real highlight, however, were the staff who were all so kind and friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay a good one.

Having to leave!

From the moment you turn up here there is a wow factor. Through the front door and the place is spotless, log burners lit, candles lit, stunning interior and friendly staff to welcome you. My room Tufted (all named after ducks) was lovely and I felt like I was floating in 1000s of feathers. Food was fabulous, staff were just lovely. Breakfast fantastic and service and attention to detail faultless. It was snowing when I came to leave and the staff offered to clear the snow off my car for me.

We were visiting family in South Brent, the hotel rooms were perfect and the food exceptional, we had breakfast lunch and dinner and all excellent. The view from dining room with the peacocks added extra excitement to meals with children

Nothing to dislike

We had to request breakfast by 8.00 am because it's not usually served until 8.30 which is late if one has business commitments in the morning.

My one and only issue with the property was there were numerous black/mould spots around the base of the shower cubicle.

The property is stunning with a real homely feel about it. I loved the fridge in the hall upstairs which gave you access to fresh milk and soft drinks.

Fantastic helpful staff. Lots of thought gone into the design of furnishings and design of rooms. Lots of space in public areas. Very quiet room. Food excellent at a very decent price.

Only 2 very minor things-there were only 4 hangers,though I would think we could have asked for more;we would have preferred a kettle to the Brita water heating machine. It took us a little while to work it out!

Breakfast was superb and also the 3 evening meals. Love the location with the small lake and especially the peacocks,guinea fowl and assorted hens. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean.

Evening meal disappointing. It's not a "foodie" place. It would be lovely if they did good food then everything would be perfect. A microwaved Fish pie with frozen peas is not what you go out to dinner for.

Everything was very nice, location, hotel, room, comfy bed, bath & shower, tea making facilities, staff and service, cleanliness. Breakfast usual cooked English, with choices.

Beautiful little spot. Quite far away from any town etc but just gorgeous little venue. Would defo recommend if any one was going past this way ! Well worth a stop for food as well :)

I am hard pressed to think of anything to put here.

The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast choice was good and delicious. The dinner menu was varied, well cooked, presented and the service was attentive without being intrusive. We loved seeing the bird life wander around the grounds.
