Check in was odd; had to queue with customers buying coffee and cake in the cafe. We didn't expect the amount of steps to apartment 2. Beds and pillows were sadly uncomfortable, and single beds squeaky. Kitchen is not "fully equipped" as described - no oven glove, no dishcloth, only one tea towel, knives were blunt, no potato masher, no grater, not even salt and pepper pots. Oven tray hadn't been cleaned prior to our using it. Never stayed in a self catering apartment so poorly equipped and which is in need of some repair and renovation. No information about wifi (only spotted on this site when we came to review). No leaflets or any useful information for visitors. Toilet was slightly leaky, water leaking from somewhere into a bowl housing a houseplant on bathroom windowsill. Dust webs from lounge ceiling. Not what we expected from a large business that owns several pubs in the town. Grass had not been mowed in garden. Yes, it's been very rainy but looks like it hasn't been touched since last year. Spotted a live woodlouse on the bed after getting out of bed on the final morning. Husband said he had seen several during our two nights' stay. Photos do not include the kitchen of apartment 2. The short staircase leading from the kitchen to the lounge and bedrooms has no handrail; there are however some hot pipes which could be mistaken for a handrail by a child.

We want to include some positives. Location was excellent and accommodation was quite cosy and very warm. Nice lounge. This could have so much potential if much more care and attention paid to small details.

There was rubbish on the floor of the apartment the fabric on sofas and a scatter cushion were dirty. There was no tea towel to dry up and no cloth to wipe tabes etc. The internet was not working and being with a teenager as you can imagine they were not happy, not that they are on there phone lots but it did say internet was provided, so we could not connect to the Netflix via smart tv to have our movie night. I have four children and we give doing presents at Christmas. It was time for my daughter and me to have some fun away from our reality… it’s not the end of the world but it was a little disappointing.

Not very clean.

Cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. Perfect to stay in with my toddler so he has free roam and can do as he pleases instead of being stuck in a hotel room.

Although clean, bedding, bathroom, kitchen, in desperate need of addressing damp/crumbling plaster and some TLC could be an amazing little find!!

Great position, far enough away from the clock tower. Although lots of steps, manageable. Cafes and bars with restaurants all close by.

The apartment was not clean. It also has not been cleaned for a long time. Almost everything is worn and maintenance is very poor. Upon arrival there was chattered glass on the kitchen table and chairs. Cigarette ends in the hallway. Dirty bath (hair from previous guests), dirty bathroom, dirty floors and dirty carpet. Dirty windows. Mould in the bathroom. Dust everywhere. The toilet leaks water when you flush it. There are strong signs that it has been leaking for longer. The drain of the bathroom sink emptied slowly. The drain of the bathtub was badly clogged. All chairs, couches and the stools have worn or damaged leather. From the 7 doors, only 2 where closing and locking as they should be. The front door has a (not very secure) lever tumbler lock. It is supposed to be a self-catering appartement but there was not much stuff that we could use. No dishwashing soap, no dishwashing brush, no dishcloth, no tea towels, no kitchen towels and no toilet cleaner. Only a few plates, glasses and mugs. No bread knife and no coffee machine. The bed was as hard as rock.

The fridge was large and had a freezer. The oven worked well.

It was not clean, too large for a single traveler. Curtains falling off in places, carpet scruffy, not inviting didn’t include breakfast- I would have preferred breakfast to such a big flat. No cleaning. Kitchen hot tap didn’t work on the first day. Only one kitchen cloth and no kitchen paper.

The whole house not clean enough. The bathroom roof would flake of while the were have a shower, the kitchen hot tap needed fixing could hardly turn it on and hardly turn it off and constantly dipping and the list goes on

Second visit to property disappointing. Bathroom and bedrooms ok but, kitchen crumbs on side and cereals on floor, food wrapper on floor in bedroom. Wifi code not supplied. Noisy at night.

The two single beds in the first bedroom were comfortable but extremely squeaky whenever you moved , Pillows were also very lumpy. We had someone's leftover fish and chips still in the microwave, apartment could do with a good clean had some marks on some of kitchen doors, skirting in bathroom, tv in the lounge etc.

Location was fab, easy check in & out. Parking to the rear, spacious apartment, outdoor space to the rear. Lovely local pubs and restaurants.

Mattresses very poor quality Dirty skirting in bathroom Hoover broken? No tumble dryer? Iron upgrade would be good? Wifi would be good? No cloths for cleaning or washing dishes?

Loved the location and layout and the poster pictures, the hot shower was great too. Extra towels most appreciated Laudrette on street very handy after rainy day Extra pillows welcomed

I stayed at apartment with my elderly mother, 3 flights of steep steps to get to apartment & myself & my mother are OAPs, not informed of steps & my mother unable to venture out until departure because of steps & im in my 60s & made few treks up steps with both our luggage. Absolutely terrible not informing people of the access to property

The WiFi router was not working for the whole of our stay which was disappointing. The owner did try to get it working and a electrician looked at it but both were unsuccessful. We had to use our own mobile data. A few light bulbs needed replacing and the staff did that quickly.

The apartment was spacious and good value for money.Location was good. There was no parking with the apartment but we found street parking.

I want a refund. 1.toilet seat very loose nearly fell of it when sat on. 2.the toilet roll holder loose and and nearly fell off the wall and that is in both toilets. The freezer had not been cleaned and there is all food spilt in it and frozen. 3.The windows are filthy on the inside and with Dog "snot" smeared on them. 4. A Breakfast bowl used as a dog bowl left in the lounge still with water in it. 5.Bed mattresses need changing as they are old and you feel all the springs inside as you lay down. 6. Wfi not working. 7.Tv was not working as the aerial was not connected. I HAVE VIDEOS AND PHOTOS OF ALL THAT I HAVE DESCRIBED. REFUND REQUIRED.
