It's a lovely location by the side of the canal, surrounded by boats and fields, with terrific view of the Beacons. The room was very comfortable, with all the facilities we expected plus lots of information on walks and local attractions. There were tea-making facilities in the room and fresh milk downstairs if you wanted it. An excellent breakfast was provided. There is also a conservatory and patio for guests to use, which is a nice bonus. Car parking is provided for guests as well as a separate entrance to the rooms and guest spaces, so that you don't feel that you are intruding on the hosts privacy.

Lovely rural location beside the canal. Quiet and tranquil. Locally sourced ingredients for breakfast, cooked to perfection. Room very comfortable with excellent en suite shower. EV charging on site was an added bonus.

Beautiful view of Welsh hills on one side and quiet canal on the other. Comfy cosy room and lovely bath and shower with excellent water pressure. Good provision for recycling. Absolutely delicious breakfast and very friendly, helpful host.

Sticky bathroom doors and low beams in our room (kept hitting my head on the wooden beams - NO real damage! - just a bit of embarrassment at myself for not being more careful).

My son and I recently enjoyed a two-night stay, and we were so pleased with Ty Newydd. The rooms were not only clean and cosy but also wonderfully warm, providing a comfortable environment during our visit. The bathrooms were also perfect. The highlight of our stay was the cooked breakfast, which was truly excellent and set a great tone for the day. Rachel and Sid, the hosts, were exceptional. They made us feel incredibly welcome and were a wealth of information about the local area. We greatly appreciated the abundance of maps and guidebooks available, which helped us make the most of our time in the area. Our stay was made all the more enjoyable thanks to Rachel and Sid's hospitality and local knowledge. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

One day I was due to be out and about long before breakfast, so I asked for the "packed breakfast" for that day. OK, it was prepared and ready, but absolutely, totally inadequate: two small pain au chocolat in a paper bag. A perfect combination of inadequate AND unhealthy.

The cooked breakfast was excellent. Plenty of variety and served in a courteous and timely manner. Good coffee too! Really nice room with comfortable bed and excellent en-suite bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities were appreciated.

Everything was great we just wish we had been able to stay longer!

We had a large room with a very comfy bed. The views were amazing. Breakfasts were cooked to order and ample for our requirements. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect with a local pub a short walk along the canal. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay.
