Couldn't fault anything, so much better than a soulless Travelodge or similar.

Small homely guesthouse run by lovely Lil. Superb cooked breakfast included in very well priced room rate. Quiet, idyllic village setting ideal for a walking holiday.

Shared bathroom with a door which didn't close properly located right next to my room wasn't ideal.

Not blaming the property or owners, but watch out for the low doorways and beams if you do not want a sore head...! Again, not a problem as such, but be aware some rooms have shared bathroom facilities.

Warm welcome, chatty owner, very good breakfast. No car park but safe area for use of free public car park a few minutes walk away or to park on side street. Clean, albeit not all rooms have en-suite facilities. Quiet location, away from tourists.

    -

The Ty Newydd Guesthouse is situated in the small and idyllic village Trefriw in the snowdonia mountains. If your are looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation but still with access to the main attractions, you are exactly right here. The next train station is around 25 minutes away by foot and there is a bus station right in front of the house. You are perfectly connected to either Betws-y-Coed or Llandudno. I had a single room with enough space, a tea kettle, coffee and tea and a seating area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. My dog was also welcome here :) - Lillian was a lovely host, welcoming and warm and open for all questions. Her Welsh breakfast that she freshly prepares every morning was a delight. If I should ever visit North Wales again I will make sure to come back here.

Lil is a lovely lady and super nice host :) The bed was comfortable. The area is quiet, perfect to take a proper break. We had approx 30 minuts to Snowdon and we used privet car to transport. We can recommend the food in Old Ship pub too! Lovely people!
