The location is outstanding. Got to the hotel very late in the evening and wasn’t able to see anything. We we’ve open the curtains we were breath taken by the view of the lake and mountains.

The ambience and air of serenity are what make Tynycornel special. You can feel the stress melting away as soon as you arrive and it is a great place to relax and explore this part of northwest Wales.

Food was poor for the price Chicken was supposed to he roasted garlic chicken and the chicken was boiled 😐 Steak was very fatty and peppercorn sauce was like water 💧

What a beautiful stay. Ideal for anyone wanting to climb Cadair Idris. Sat on the beautiful lake. The hotel is spotless and sooooo cosy. Breakfast was absolutely stunning with a large menu to suit everyone inc Vegies. Evening bar meals we also first class. Would highly recommend here. We would definitely return. There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property. The only niggle was the tv reception but appreciate you can’t always get a signal in such a wild and remote location.

The location on the lake set amongst the mountains was lovely. The bar/ dining area was comfortable, relaxing and really cosy with the log fire and comfy sofas. The room was nicely appointed with great views across the lake and we especially liked the bathroom.

Lake view couldn’t be seen very well from room because of position of windows and height of bed. Room rather cramped and nowhere to sit except on bed. Bathroom decent size, but toilet cramped and toilet roll holder got in the way. Some hooks on the door for clothes/dressing gown would be helpful.

Great location, friendly staff, nice food, peaceful room, comfortable bed. Not having housekeeping every day unless we asked. Lovely garden.

There's nothing not to like really the only minor criticism would be that the bedrooms could do with a bit of an update to match the bathrooms, but that is me being really fussy and probably a little unfair to the hotel.

Being very picky but the background music played in public areas was a little loud and the weather wasn't great, but that's in no one's control.

There's nothing not to like.

The location is stunning and the food and staff were faultless. I booked 4 rooms for our extended family to celebrate a 60th birthday, all rhe rooms were excellent.

The room we were originally allocated was unsatisfactory - bathroom not adequately ventilated. But the manager immediately moved us into a superior suite, which we appreciated - it definitely made our stay much more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise.

Superb location beside Talyllyn lake. Our clean, comfortable room looked up the length of the lake. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable.
