the frying pan could do with getting replaced it’s bottom has rounded so hard to keep on hob, wasn’t really an issue as we picked up a small frying pan as were needing one at home anyway

Nothing. It was a perfect get away for a few days of peace and relaxation. You definitely need a car to get around as there are no shops or amenities nearby. But the closest towns are just a short drive away and this suited us well.

The property is finished to a high standard, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean as well as being warm and comfortable. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a short stay and has excellent views. Janet our host was helpful, friendly and very thoughtful in leaving tea, coffee, milk, orange juice and cake for our arrival. She ensured we knew how to contact her if need be and we felt welcomed in all communication with her.

Crazy warm even with all windows and doors open and fans on. So the fans are definitely needed. You realise why they are provided very quick. So would consider return visit in the winter and get use of the fire knowing it's going to be very snug and well insulated enough to cope with winter months.

Quirky, unique. Cutlery and glasses so clean you'd think they were brand new. Cooker easy to use. Good facilities. Personal touch note and cake in the fridge. Stunning views regardless of weather. Good to have the seats as we got a nice night weather wise. Plenty garden and nice to have the birds to watch. Sets the scene that little more. Great to see and experience an Eco build. Can recommend.

Having to come home 🙁

Perfect location, great base to explore local beauty spots. So quiet and could barley hear the road. The roundhouse has everything you could need. We spent 7 nights for our honeymoon here and janet the host kindly left us a lovely homemade cake, the BEST shortbread biscuits, some prosecco and milk and juice. She even put up a congratulations banner. Thrilled with the week we spent here. Definitely recommend if you want a quiet break away from it all. The sunsets are breathtaking.

The location was excellent. It was very peaceful and tranquil. The Roundhouse is very spacious and has everything you need. The floor to ceiling windows are fabulous, allowing floods of light to enter, whilst giving you stunning views across the Solway Firth during the day and night and waking up to the sound of birds was just lovely. Janet was a wonderful host as before we arrived, she put the heater on so it was lovely and warm. She had also made some beautiful cake and some melt in the mouth shortbread heart biscuits. There was also cheese, milk and juice in the fridge. All these touches were greatly appreciated! Thank you to Janet for making our stay a truly memorable one!

It was so cosy, like a home from home. After getting a bit lost, host very helpfully guided us to the property. Home made cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Very clean & cosy had everything we needed for a relaxing few days away from our stressful NHS jobs
