Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaWe got nothing to complain.
I want to thank all those who reviewed the property as perfect for families. It was indeed perfect. I loved the quietness of the area. You can hear the birds singing. If you live in a busy area and want to disconnect from everything that's the way to go. You got all the facilities needed just bring your food and drink and relax... It's very clean, comfy, vintage. Too bad we stayed only one day.

United KingdomWas in need of a little update. The overbath shower started warm but then kept going cold. No teatowels in the kitchen & the oven grill tray hadn't been cleaned from the previous family.
Lovely cottage nestled in the quiet countryside 20 minutes from Ludlow. A lovely bonus to have a very generous welcome pack on arrival! Comfy & warm property, had a great nights sleep. Well equipped kitchen & clean bathroom with lots of towels. Comfy lounge area. Great surroundings with friendly goats, cats & a dog. Nice pub a short drive down the lane.

A very comfortable cottage in a lovely rural location. On a clear night you can see all of the stars. A lovely, friendly dog and cat and the opportunity to feed the Pygmy goats every morning.

United KingdomThe farm is a little remote and secluded. Some people actually like that :)
The property is located on a beautiful farm with cats, roosters and sheep/goats. I had my dog and he had fun too with Teddy. Rob the owner lived nearby and handed us the keys - over all the stay was amazing. Our car got stuck while coming back home in much due to rainy season and Rob went beyond expectation to help us. Thank you Rob

United KingdomI hate cob webs, and i saw a few. I am aware they can form overnight. I also hated the flies, so if the door was open, the flies were with us for the night. Perhaps a flyspray would have sorted this. I know it was that time of the year, and it's country living, I guess. Please - Don't let that stop you from booking the place tho. We had a great weekend ☺️
Rob Teddy (the dog) and the cat . Thank-you for a peaceful and enjoyable stay. The photographs are a true reflection of the farm, which was great. Your hospitality was exceptional. Cake, bread, eggs butter , milk, tea/coffee - all the essentials Nick nacks were provided. The farm was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable 😌

Heaven! We wanted quiet and rural and it was exactly that, the cottage had everything we needed, a fully fitted kitchen, comfy sofas and chairs, exceptional comfy bed with quality linen and towels and a lovely bathroom. Totally spotless and smelled lovely and fresh. The hosts had a lovely little dog and cat that we would like to have adopted! The host Rob was there to meet us on arrival, showed us around the cottage and left us an amazing welcome pack which was definatly 10/10, milk, tea, coffee, bread, butter, eggs and even chocolate cake and wine! Rob was on hand throughout our stay but never encroached on our space. The farm itself was lovely, goats, chickens, sheep and horses surrounded by open countryside, it was a perfect stay for us.

United KingdomOnly problem for some visitors could be that access to the toilet/bathroom which was via the second (twin) bedroom, rubbish had been hurriedly swept into the passage next to the back door (which did not open)
Generally the location was good for nearby towns, however the cottage was quite isolated and access was via narrow country lanes. Very good welcome pack, spacious rooms, there was a fire exit on the 1st floor
