My only observation is that the stairs are very steep which could pose a problem for young children or elderly visitors.

Location was brilliant, near station and town but in peaceful side street. Cottage contained everything we needed for our short stay and appliances were easy to use.

Beautiful accommodation in a very quiet neighbourhood. We appreciated the Christmas decorations as we stayed over Christmas.

There is nothing we disliked and don’t want to be unfair but could have done with some cleaning products ie Surface spray, bleach for the toilet? Just like to keep it up to standard! Also the heating timing needs sorting as was coming in in the night and was too warm!!

Curtains, beautiful as they were, in the front bedroom, were not blackout and let in the morning light. If you wake with the sunrise, this won't be a problem. At night time, it was perfect, as no light came in from the street.

Beautiful Cottage, had all the ModCons and a beautiful little hamper on arrival with tea and coffee etc. To get you started which was a lovely touch. Compfy beds and setting and plenty of storage. Great location for the city, sights and train station. Quiet street and very well looked after. Slept very well. Stay York kept in touch prior to check In, which was reassuring and check in details were as stated and easy

I think you could warn that the stairs are quite steep and the steps not very deep. The little starter hamper was very nice but maybe it shouldn't be advertised as containing milk because it was just a couple of sachets in there. The main bedroom has 2 lovely wall mirrors. The second bedroom does not have a wall mirror at all despite there being two empty walls and one of those with a perfectly placed plug. I found it very difficult to do my hair and make-up in there.

The house was just what we wanted for a 3 night stay in the city of York. Everything we needed was there. Very nicely decorated and furnished. Lovely clean kitchen and bathroom. All rooms comfortable. Constant hot water. Central heating we could control ourselves. We weren't asked to do much when leaving other than put rubbish in bins. Parking was easy outside of the house but we did need to supply our car reg so that a e-parking permit could be applied for.

Kitchen could do with a salad bowl & a couple of serving dishes. Perhaps more loo rolls & washing up tabs. A few more hangers in the wardrobe & a lightweight bed cover for when a duvet is too hot.
