Our bedroom was on the second floor, access via very steep stairs. The bedroom itself was quite small for a double. We have never seen such a tiny bathroom, It was only the width of a single shower tray and just long enough for the sink and toilet.The design provided maximum rooms along the corridor with little care being given to the guests.

Ground floor facilities are excellent, The bar and dining room are nice and relaxed .At the rear rear of the hotel was a terraced area with stunning views over the Menai Straights.

The only thing we didn't like was the amount of security they had in the evening and that they walked around the restaurant whilst we were eating made us feel uncomfortable

The decor is beautiful, the room although small was perfectly planned out and the balcony was really sweet. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

It was just a shame we had to eat in the Bar, when the restaurant looked very spacious. In the bar with our dog it was hard to find adequate space when it was busy - Consider allowing dogs in certain area of the restaurant??

The food was great breakfast & also we had evening meal too. The room was great & clean, if anything perhaps a bit too warm. Staff were great - especially those that were clearly dog friendly!

The "wheelchair access" room was all the way down a tight corridor that ended in a sharp right-angle turn with two sets of doors to open before getting into the room. My boyfriend had to do acrobats to hold them all open for me - and then the room's bed was really close to the door so that made the entrance even tighter. I managed it in a small manual wheelchair, but for an electric wheelchair/scooter user it'd be impossible. Also the sink was so tiny with no room for placing toothbrushes etc, and the mirror so high that all I could see was my forehead - maybe add a shelf where the soap dispenser is?

The breakfast each day was amazing quality, we were awed city kids rising every morning in the dining room with big windows to a stunning waterfront view. The staff were quick to address noise complaints, and were kind enough to provide iced water and fans during a heatwave.

Very noisy, we stayed on a Friday night and it seemed like it is a hotspot for locals so got quite loud at points.

Member of staff serving us disappeared for 20mins whilst waiting to place dessert order so another member served us as she noticed we still had dessert menus on table.

The outside has beautiful views,seating area outside is lovely and the inside area love too.

Rooms were on the small side, looked perfect when we got there but once suitcases were unpacked, there wasn't much space for personal belongings either in the room or the en-suite

It was extremely noisy at night and I couldn’t get to sleep as my room was at the front. Shouting and screaming and laughing for hours.

The terrace was washed down at breakfast time every morning, which is understandable but a shame that we couldn't enjoy it while eating our breakfast. The coffee didn't taste great both mornings - the machine may have needed an overhaul. The parking was very limited. The price seemed on the high side overall.

The room was comfortable and clean. The view from the hotel terrace was great. The building itself is elegant. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The food was really good. It was great to be able to bring the dog with us. We enjoyed walking down the steps into the village and exploring close to the hotel.

Paid extra for a sea view, not sure that was worth it for the view from room 10, and balcony overlooked kitchen paraphernalia.

Loved the decor throughout the hotel, relaxing and quirky. Staff were very courteous, helpful and friendly. Lovely bedroom and bathroom.

Hot water taps in both ladies and gents toilets would not work. Staff worked so hard but were few and far between.

Location was ideal and refurb is very well done. Very of the straits from rear gardens was perfect.

Evening menu could have been better. Just had standard Chef & Brewer food. Would have been better to have more individual cooking to match the rest of the hotel's higher standard.

I had to skip taking showers on the last 2 days. On the second last day the water was barely warm. On my last day the water was very cold. Even after running the tap for a while. I assume they may have had a boiler issue, but I didn't ask as i had to run to work early....so that's just a guess. I didnt much like the bathroom sink as there was barely any room to put things on the back or sides. My toiletries lived on a low windowsill by the toilet, which i didnt much like. On the subject of the toilet. I really didn't like the seat. I became a 'bigger guy' over lockdown and the seat such as it was seemed to 'dig in'. My thoughts were, the combination of hard edges and narrow width didn't mix too well.

Pleasant location, lovely view from the beer garden, friendly staff, tasty food options :) we also managed to get parking every day (although once or twice the options for a 'bigger car' dwindled)

No lift. Parking. This hotel is very popular with the locals and late afternoon-early evening the car park is full. There is a public car park near but it is uphill back to the hotel so not great if you have mobility problems. Also parking time is 12hrs. max so can be a problem for overnight parking.
