The bathroom was dated but clean, but we knew to expect this from reading reviews so it didn’t bother us.

We stayed in a standard room which was very clean. Enjoyed the swimming pool and the breakfasts were good with a view of the sea from the dining room.

Hotel could do with some tlc, but this was a minor point. Reception was manned 24/7, everyone was pleasant and friendly. Car park was small but we got a space.

Room was pleasant with a sea view. Cleaned everyday. Breakfast was good with a buffet and the dining room had a sea view also.

The room I was in had a stiff bathroom door which made it difficult to go use the bathroom In the night as I would wake people.

Hotel a bit shabby but understandable as old building but could be tidied up more (tape on floor to fix carpets etc). Hotel tub was broke most of the time (not hotels fault as people putting bubble bath in) and steam room closed too so that was unfortunate. Also charged full price for kids breakast even though charged kids rates for room - didn't make sense.

Spacious rooms and excellent breakfast - lovely helpful staff. Lovely sea views. Beds really comfy - slept really well. Hotel rooms cleaned well even though hotel bit run down but still clean. Loved the sauna and pool.

Some areas in the hotel needs to be updated and little bit more TLC

Fasntastic location, just few feets away from beaches, central located ,all amenities,shops,beaches ,restaurants are just there.Very comfy ,large room, we stayed in room 303-its a family room, spacious bathroom,clean towels , great tea/cofee options in room.Staff on reception accomodate all our needs and was helpfull.Breakfast at the hotel was also great,most enyable and relaxing for long time , we were choose table with sea view, most wonderfull way how to enyoy cup of coffee and just look at the waves and surfers,breakfast service was attentive.Sauna ,swimmiming pool,spa treatments available in the hotel.Actual hotel has very grand building ,grand spacious staircaise and all areas are large ,spacious, noticably requires maintenance hands full on, presumely/understandingly difficult to maintain.

Unfortunately we were only in Newquay for the 1 night so unable to judge properly, but room, breakfast and location were all fine for our needs especially as it was a very late booking

The only thing that let's this lovely old building down.. was the upkeep and maintenance ! It deserves at the very least a new lick of paint all on the inside and outside inc. the victorian iron work /scrolls. These are rusty. Inside is tired. It was a shame to see.. The property deserves better - especially during the quieter months.. The resturant isn't open during March. Not sure if it's running at all this year.

There was nothing I could think that I didn't like. We even said to each other that we wouldn't hesitate to come back. Bed was comfortable. It was so quiet ! , warm, clean and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was to die for !

Cleanliness is key, could do with more attention to detail, regular cleaning of pool area Pool isn’t suitable for less abled/ younger swimmers as gets deep very quickly

Watched and waited for eggs to come out of the kitchen and they were still cold - sorry. Also, the sheets are cleaned with a very strong smelling soap or are sprayed with a perfume that was really over powering.

If there was availability to get a meal in the evening

The room was a nice size and beds were comfy. The location was fantastic a very short walk to shops, beach, pubs, restaurants. The breakfast was great, lots of variety, help yourself to whatever you wanted. The pool spa and sauna was good. And didn’t have to check out until 11. Pet friendly.
