we booke 2 breakfasts it was ok but a bit cold the prking was very expensive if we did that we found alteratave there was some loud speakig passing room

Unfortunately we were only in Newquay for the 1 night so unable to judge properly, but room, breakfast and location were all fine for our needs especially as it was a very late booking

The only thing that let's this lovely old building down.. was the upkeep and maintenance ! It deserves at the very least a new lick of paint all on the inside and outside inc. the victorian iron work /scrolls. These are rusty. Inside is tired. It was a shame to see.. The property deserves better - especially during the quieter months.. The resturant isn't open during March. Not sure if it's running at all this year.

There was nothing I could think that I didn't like. We even said to each other that we wouldn't hesitate to come back. Bed was comfortable. It was so quiet ! , warm, clean and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was to die for !

Cleanliness is key, could do with more attention to detail, regular cleaning of pool area Pool isn’t suitable for less abled/ younger swimmers as gets deep very quickly

Location is good, within walking distance of most attractions, staff excellent, breakfast lovely and the history of property

Watched and waited for eggs to come out of the kitchen and they were still cold - sorry. Also, the sheets are cleaned with a very strong smelling soap or are sprayed with a perfume that was really over powering.

If there was availability to get a meal in the evening

The room was a nice size and beds were comfy. The location was fantastic a very short walk to shops, beach, pubs, restaurants. The breakfast was great, lots of variety, help yourself to whatever you wanted. The pool spa and sauna was good. And didn’t have to check out until 11. Pet friendly.

Room was not airtight. Door had dog scratches that could do with some paint. Shower head needs looking at. Room too small.

Gym/spa facilities could have been maintained better. Showers and changing rooms could have been cleaner. You have to pay for parking for the first 3 nights. This was not apparent when I booked the room though I may have missed this info.

Beautiful building with lots of character inside and outside. Decent buffet breakfast. Regularly topped up with warm fresh food. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location with sea view and to go to other areas within Cornwall.

Swimming pool and facilities need updating and deep cleaning but clean enough for us.

Overall cleanliness at hotel was very good. I think certain points need some TLC for example worn carpet on stairs. Breakfast was very good value with good choice. Food was hot and good taste. Staff were excellent, really kind and helpful
