The fact the door didn't lock as it should however a staff helper came out to try and fix the problem but couldn't, thin walls so could hear everything the neighbouring suite were saying/doing

The staff when I've spoken to them to sort out booking were friendly and accompanying with our needs, local to town centre and amenities.

Smell in the entrance hallway - not massive issue only bothered us when we walked in and out the property. Teenage son enjoyed it 🤦🏼‍♀️. Slight smell of damp in the room. We couldn’t work the wifi codes. Gave up in the end & just used our data. Smart TV’s, we could only watch BBC iPlayer - all other TV channels needed logins. Minor issues though over all no complaints.

Apartment is in a very central location. Rooms are done to a good standard with nice personal touches like the Prosecco & crisps on arrival. We had suite 6 two bedrooms (double & a twin) and a bathroom. Rooms are very clean, beds were comfortable and bedding was very clean, we had everything we needed for our two night stay. Great for families as the kids have a separate bedroom. All suites have key code entrance for safety. Being at the back of the property was very quiet, we had no noise from other guests Safe, free parking for 4 cars on site, although you may get blocked in if parked first. We needed to contact the owner and he was very quick to respond via email and when we had to call. Can’t fault our stay.

The back-door could do with replacing and there seems to be a very bad leak out of the back. It could do with mirrors in the bedrooms as there was only one in the bathroom.

Lovely apartment had everything you need for a weekend break. The beds were comfy, posh coffee machine although we didn't use it. A lovely welcome goody box crisps, biscuits and Prosecco.

No soap or washing up liquid or cloths to wash up. damp smell as you walked into the communal hallway and initially as you enter the apartment. Very small towels.

Great location. Very clean and a well quipped kitchen and bedrooms. Very easy communication. Lovely touches of complimentary bottles and crisps.

There was no communal kitchen, the picture on this site showed a kitchen, upon arrival only certain suits have a kitchen so if you need one please check with host ( diabetes)

the only problem we found was the walls seemed thin we could hear the people next door who was very noisy but when they fell asleep you could hear the snoring very clearly also we struggled with the tv

The heating was not working at all. When I messaged the owner I was told someone would look into it, which never happened. Me and my two boys were cold for the whole time we were in the rooms. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We didn't know the accommodation was remote access. We arrived new years eve, drenched to the skin as the parking in front of the hotel was full on our arrival in the dark, so had to find alternative parking further away AND WALK IN THE RAIN. Its almost impossible to identify the signage for the hotel in the dark as its glass in the door entirely obscured with the lights. out. NB. My wife is disabled, PARTIALLY SIGHTED USING A WHITE STICK. We were refused an earlier arrival request ensuring this calamity was suffered in complete darkness. We were reduced to banging on the front door on arrival, and eventually another resident took pity on us GIVING US ACCESS AND EXPLAINING HOW WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SENT THE REMOTE ACCESS CODES ETC AS THE PREMISES IS NOT STAFFED! FORTUNATELY OUR SON STAYING IN GERMANY FOR NEW YEAR PHONE US TO WISH US A NEW YEAR, WE EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND ASKED HIM TO GOOGLE VICTORIA SUITES SOUTHPORT, GET A PHONE NUMBER AND FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON AS IT WAS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE OUR NEW YEAR WEAS GOING TO BE SPENT IN OUR CAR! We found out an email was sent [@ 2hrs before arrival] with the access codes as without my laptop I didn't have access, or awareness of the booking in method. Victoria suites sent the access details via a text at our request so we eventually got our room. After drying out I went back out in the rain walking to the car to get the rest of our luggage. the room modern and cosy was relatively small. this is the only hotel accommodation we have been in were the bathroom sink is part of the toilet cistern. Its novel innovative space saving but rubbish to fill the kettle or wash and shave in. We got a car parking space the next day in front of the hotel. The tv had subscription channels, some rubbish free ones but no free view, we tried to catch up with BBC news and it asked did we have a tv licence.

Clean modern, recently renovated. a nice selection of coffee tea biscuits even x2 small Prosecco wine bottles and glasses provided for our arrival. Room was warm and cosy.

Unfortunately the property itself was not up to standard. Firstly there were tiles hanging from the ceiling, which was already very dirty. Secondly our main door was faulty and not very safe, we had to mess with the door handle for the door to lock, the coffee machine was very dirty and smelled the water in there must have been there for a very long time. Another problem we had was noise, both nights we stayed, all night other people staying were very noisy shouting, arguing. Secondly there were children crying in another room for at least 3-4 hours non stop which concerned us as we are parents ourselves. Lastly was the bathroom, firstly the tile in the bathroom was cracked and about to come off the wall, secondly when we came back to the room after being out for 6 hrs to no surprise the mechanism on the bathroom door was gone the handle itself stopped working, after half an hour of trying we rang Southport holidays, after 10-15 minutes of going back & forth trying to explain myself to the person I spoke to we where told that the maintenance team would be there at 8 am the following day which we where not happy about as they then proceeded to tell us that if they couldn’t get the door open the following day they would mail our belongings to us. Thankfully we opened the door on our own using a spoon and the person we spoke to decided to come to our room and was extremely helpful and we are very thankful for his help.

We loved the room it was perfect for a two night stay of sight seeing, the bed was very comfy and spacious.

The outside of the property was dirty, rubbish strewn everywhere, and smell of weed inside hallways. The sink had a shelf above it, which meant it was hard to wash face/teeth outside the shower.

Room itself was clean, comfortable and stylish. Toilet recycling the sink water. Cute snacks and prosecco for us too!!

We had no working shower for the whole weekend and the window in the bedroom was broken so permanently open - in October not great.

Didn’t like the fact that after it was booked I was contacted to give my card details as the owner takes £1 deposit in case of breakages. This was taken immediately. On arrival the smell from the bathroom was absolutely terrible. Strong smell of damp which had obviously been scrubbed and the wall was wet and marked. Had to leave the window open the entire time we were there (room 5). Someone had clearly dropped the entire roll of toilet roll down the toilet and then lifted it onto the bathroom window sill hoping it would dry out. It did not. All that happened was it left a big mark on the window sill. I did contact the person dealing with the room but got no response.

Good location and managed to get parked at the property which was the reason for booking there. Lovely little touch leaving crisps and Prosecco in the room.
