Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

DenmarkCould have been a bit cleaner, but limited turn around between guests makes it hard for detail cleaning so we understood and did not find this as an issue as it was only less travelled areas. Minor details such as body wash in shower was empty (but refilled upon request which is no issue for us)
Location is hard to beat, despite popular location the windows kept out a lot of the noise. Hotel is cosy and comfortable. Complimentary water bottles, tea, coffee etc. Friendly staff, open 24/7, lifts to floors. Power plugs on both sides of the bed, good air conditioning and control of it in the room.

The lobby area was strangely forbidding: dark, cafeteria-like. Highly informal.We did not take breakfast. reception staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Our requests were met promptly in every case. Upgraded room was comfortable (although a new mattress would have been nice). All past its prime but very clean, functional, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. A good address for location for theatres and walking visit of London. You can have breakfast at Fortnums if you like.

United KingdomCouldn't spot anywhere to hang clothing, in particular just a coat hook. It had been raining so we needed to hang our coats to dry, the only place to do so was above the desk. This meant the kettle etc was getting wet from the drips. Not the end of the world and would have been fine if not for the rain. Also the shower is built into a wall where the ceiling dips, this prevented the door from opening fully. It was a bit of a squeeze to get in.
Excellent location and great price considering. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. Two tiny points to consider but it wouldn't stop me staying again

Right on Leicester Square. What more could you ask for? :-) Very handy for us in terms of eateries, shopping, museums and theatre. Made the whole West End very walkable. Added bonus: we were upgraded to a suite; very spacious and comfy.
